Goddamn Onion

The mission alone was a shit show more or less, Y/N still got the intel though. But that alone came with a price itself, Y/N suffering a severe injury as well. Pinned down, the many guns firing and bullets flying everywhere. All but was lost, not until Frank Woods suddenly diving in. Just to save him just at the right time, and the two of you escaping through the window. While you two frantically gotten out at the tight time, before the building blown to smithereens. Along with the enemies that had been trapped in there, Woods began to help Y/N as they ran through the forest. One arm over his shoulder, to support him as they ran. No matter how exhausted the two of you were. You still marched on regardless, the voices died down, no enemies left in sight. Just the two of you. When the coast was clear, Woods gently settled Y/N on the floor against the tree. Keeping a good eye on him. just in case if anything else had happened. He knelt down, staring at him. Concern was written all over his features. The wounds were gradually getting worse, not to mention the knife that was in his stomach.

"Y/N ... Are you ok? I should've gotten there sooner, but I couldn't find you and shit- I fucked up." Woods blabbering on, feeling guilty. And the failure in not protecting Y/N.

"Woods, it isn't your fault... Ok? We both got outnumbered, you know that. Yeah thw wounds are hurting... But I'll be ok."  Y/N spoke to him reassuringly, and placed his hands on his cheek. He could tell Woods felt utterly ashamed.

"Yeah I know that... But still, you know me I like to keep my promises. Especially when it comes to you, Y/N... You mean everything to me..." Woods mumbled, his eyes drifted off to the wound in his stomach and on his leg. If only he had gotten there sooner, then none of this wouldn't have happened to him. He looked away a little, still feeling that overwhelming guilt.

Y/N stayed silent and sighed softly and his hands moved dwarfs and were placed his hands on Woods' face gently, caressing gently it meanwhile. Looking at him tenderly, deep into his eyes as he smiled softly at him. "I know you would protect me Woods, and you just did my love. That I appreciate for, it may not look like it to you. But to me, you are my hero. Always." He reassured Woods.

Woods then smiled a little, as he slowly nodded in agreement slowly composing himself. Y/N's touch clamed him, gently grabbing his hand and placing a few kisses on it. The love he had for Y/N, was out of this world, he loved him to madness. "Shit Y/N... You're right I'm sorry, I really am... I'll call us an exfil. And heal your wounds. Let's get the fuck out of here yeah?"

"Don't apologise, it's ok I forgive you. And your call Woods, I'll still be with you regardless. I ain't going nowhere now." Y/N nodded in approval, and smiled back at him weakly. Woods had immediately called exfil, which would come in a matter of minutes. Also giving him time to mend Y/N's wounds. Now Woods wasn't specially trained in medical and mending such wounds. Perhaps only the basics, but only enough so that the wound would remain patched before the professionals could dress it more approaitely. Woods also made he would be delicate and gentle, espeically when it came to dealing with the knife that was impaled right into his stomach.

"I'm sorry for this Y/N... I have to take the knife out and quickly mend it. Just hold onto me if it hurts yeah?" Woods looked at him, to which Y/N nodded as he began to mend the wound on his stomach.

"Shit!" Y/N winced in pain, and gripped onto Woods shoulders, his head leaning back against the tree, trying not to tense so much was the most difficult thing. Trying to keep his breathing at ease, all was over when Woods patched him up and looked back up at him.

"You're gonna be ok I promise, it's alright?" Woods assured Y/N, leaning closer and planting a kiss on his head. Before hearing a helicopter wirring in the distance, their gateway out of here and finally arrived. Thank fuck for that, tonight was a shit show. Woods more or less, would say if the others were here too. "Exfil is here, come I'm gonna help you." He said, Y/N let Woods helmet him, once again his arm around him the two advancing towards the helicopter.

"Y/N, no matter what happens. I'll always be here for you, until the end of time." Woods said, looking down to him a little.
