So about "ultraboy". Spoilers for superman unlimited BTW. Go read.
So I wanna start this off by saying I am a kid jon fan first and foremost, but I still try and read adult jon wanting good things for his character. And the recent introduction of Ultraman's son trying to live prime earth Jon's life and then trying to be a hero really had me seeing the potential here. Not only as an alternative to deaging jon. But also.
HIS MOM IS AMAZON. AN EVIL AMAZON.
Superwoman, despite looking like Lois, is the earth 3 version of WONDER WOMAN.
THIS NEW JON. IS A WONDER BOY. HALF AMAZON HALF KRYPTONIAN. a tiny little Sun god.
But that's not the point. MY POINT IS. I, like many here, have my own little headcanon au. And in my head. In my perfect little world (I will accept no criticism), jon is still a kid. He's still Superboy.
But would it be weird if I were to incorporate this new GOOD earth 3 jon? Can they coexist? Like okay I know he's sorta Chris Kent-lite (who also exists in my au, he's also a kid, just a bit older). He's got the abuse, he's got the evil kryptonian dad, and he's got a symbol associated with an enemy of his evil dad. That's all Chris. But like. Cmon. This Chris rip off is an Amazon. And i like my amazons. I like wonder boys. And i like jon.
How. How can I somehow make this work? Two Jons. Two kid jons. Both superboy. Except one is technically Amazonian. I can do this. I can make it work.
Maybe e3 jon hyphenates. Cuz superwoman is sometimes "Super-Woman". (And again, she's Wonder Woman. Which is two words). So you say "Super-Boy" with a slight pause. Like Spider-Man, and with his super hearing he'll know if you don't pronounce the hyphen. Maybe he patterns himself like the amazons. Give him that n52 lasso of Submission that diana gave to Artemis (which she still hasn't used btw).
Give him to Achilles Warkiller to train on Thalarion. He can be rivals with Robbie Long, who no doubt prefers the other one. But he spends weekends with Lois and Clark and his twin with the same name, and their older brother with the suspiciously similar backstory. Like come on. IT CAN WORK. this Fandom tried to force jon lane to coexist with little jon, this ain't much weirder!
