i think it's iowa by slipknot (just a month ago i thought my favorite album was vol. 3: the subliminal verses, but tastes change. in any case, i still love absolutely all slipknot albums), chocolate starfish and the hot dog flavored water by limp bizkit and issues by korn!

it's not the top 3 anymore, but the same honorable places would be taken by hybrid theory by linkin park, seventeen seconds (OR disintegration) by the cure, revolver by the beatles, private music by deftones (i actually love it just as much as around the fur, but i've been listening to it a lot more lately. it came out during a difficult time for me, i actively followed its release and listened to it 24/7, so it had a big influence on me), lost and found by mudvayne, the downward spiral by nine inch nails and somewhere at the bottom of the river between vega and altaior by la dispute

my favorites by green day are troubled times, revolution radio, haushinka, american idiot (classics! i started listening to them with this song!), brain stew, still breathing, 21 guns, when I come around, say goodbye and wake me up when september ends..... i think.....

we had snow the other day. i was thinking about how much i enjoy making snowmen. it's actually a wonderful pastime - you create something so fragile, a little silly, and you forgive yourself if it turns out badly, because it's just snow... snow is hard to sculpt. especially if you don't know how. and especially if it's not wet and crumbles. today was just like that. it was really annoying...

it was about -20 degrees outside. it's been colder. i dressed warmly, but this weather somehow caught me off guard. when i came to make the snowman, i planned to make it small (and that's what happened), so as not to linger too long. after all, i was really cold. i decided to sit under the oak tree and put my snowman on a bench. i barely managed to make a few circles out of snow, and my hands were freezing cold. i thought i should have brought gloves... i picked up a sunflower seed shell and decided to make a nose out of it, since i had nothing else. i also wanted to take a small oak leaf and cover it with an acorn cup, as if it were a hat. i thought the snowman looked too empty, so i also put two acorns down, as if they were legs. i thought for a long time about what to make the eyes out of... i had a red sticker in backpack, so i tore off as little as possible, drew pupils with a pen, and attached them to the head. i only managed to do it on the sixth try, since all the other pieces of paper were instantly blown away by the strong wind... it was quite hard, haha. his eyes don't look alike, and his nose is slanted, because if i made even the slightest extra movement, the whole structure would instantly fall apart. and that would be sad

i stood up, looked at my work, and the wind blew on my snowman, knocking off his hair. in this photo, you can see that he's gone bald

i didn't despair. look how big this snowman is

i put the hat back on him...

...but the wind decided to finally get me that day and blew my snowman's head off.

i put it back. but life decided to take his eye... and now he looked like an ugly minion smoking a cigarette.....

a few more moments later, the wind finally knocked my snowman off the bench. but the footage is too brutal, i won't show it. it's too traumatic.....,,........

i'm not too sorry it broke, although i still feel pathetic. even though i claimed otherwise at the beginning of this post, i'm still completely hopeless. i can't even build a small snowman. well, that homunculus wouldn't have survived in our harsh world anyway. let it be natural selection

i came home half-dead and held my hands under hot water for about 5 minutes. honestly, they're still shaking. i froze them like crazy

at the beginning of last month (october 6, 2025), we also had snow, and i made these snowmen. the snow was better back then, of course, so the results were better. i'm even proud of them! i'm the proud parent of two sons who died later that same evening.

why don't any of my snowmen survive longer than two days?
