I've been told that these little landscapes I paint would make good postcards and recently @azuzeldraws introduced me to the world of mail art, which gave me some inspiration!
In my experience, fandom is wonderfully global but in a lot of cases we might never get the chance to see our friends' home countries in person. That, coupled with fact that travel has been severely restricted for the past year and a half, I thought it might be nice to get a taste of new places.
My plan is to create a form where anyone can summit photos they've taken that share a piece of their home country or state. I want to use these photos as references to paint a collection of diverse postcards and then sell them (pay for print or charity sale) together as bundles so not only do you get a postcard of your home but many new places to explore as well!
If there is enough interest I plan on opening photo submissions August-September and holding pre-orders in November.
