My best little fur friends and I went on quite an adventure today. We went for a hike at the BRSP and chose to take the high road, otherwise known as Owl's Roost Trail. I didn't quite think things through before heading out on the trail. Once we started our decent down the mountain, I could see a lot of flooding had washed out the lower trails. Was I stuck down here? Oh boy! My knee was not ready to hike back up. Fortunately, we ran into some friendly faces that told us the park service made some new higher trails. Great news! Before we could start back, the dogs wanted to get a drink from the river. Jules underestimated the river and fell in with a splash! Thank goodness for properly harnessed dogs! I fished her out and saved her. Pretty sure I ended up with 99 mosquitos bites and may have West Nile now.
