“Whats your Shikona?” (Sumo wrestlers ring name)

Japanese Sumo Wrestler 天空海翔馬 has posted his reenactment of anime blockbuster Your Name’s most iconic scene. The tweeted picture taken with his stablemate at the real life location used in the film (stairs of the Suga Shrine in Tokyo) included a comical sumo wrestling themed play on the films dialogue :D

Interestingly enough, they say in the film that Cagliostro only has 3,500 people. The city in the ending scene (seen here in this set), that Lupin and Jigen are running toward that sits on the body of water, has far more people than that, so I’ve always thought that it isn’t part of the principality, but next door. Thus, we’re seeing them run toward freedom, since Zenigata probably doesn’t have permission to pursue him in that country. Also, check out all the lovely sun/moon motifs here! <3

I always figured the city wasn’t part of Cagliostro either. In fact, the fact that the final shot is a decidedly modern cityscape always had me thinking this was Miyazaki telling his audience Lupin is returning to the status quo world of international crime. The detour into his past and the (well, superficially) fairy tale world of Cagliostro is over.

“They dragged him out of the back of the tour van and he just took off,” Steven Walker, owner of Austin, Texas’, Modern Rocks Gallery, told MTV News. “They were knocking on hotel doors and checking in diners and then they found him around back near the baskets of dirty towels, where he’d made a bed for himself and slept for two solid hours.”

“The shoot was a headache; bad weather, bad swimming pool, cloudy water. Kurt was a couple hours late and then went right to sleep at the side of the pool, and nobody wanted to wake him up”, said Weddle.
