Ā Ā Ā ------{josh hutcherson, 25, cis male, he/his} || evan stoneĀ is a mutant with the ability of teleportation. theyāve been in new york for fifteen years where they spend most of their time as a recruiter. when i think of them, i think of a carefree smile etched easily into boyish features, worn leather jackets that smell vaguely of cigarette smoke, & flashing neon lights accompanying the thump of a heavy bassline. they are affiliated with the xavier institute.
inspirations: vanellope von schweetz (wreck-it ralph), clap trap (borderlands), vash the stampede (trigun), haruka tenou/sailor uranus (sailor moon), baby (baby driver), yuffie kisaragi (final fantasy vii), k-2so (rogue one: a star wars story), chris (skins).

Ā Ā āø» QUICK FACTS
triggers for: abuse, car accident. heart surgery.
evan is the product of the poor adoption and fostering system in the united states. he remembers nothing of his birth parents, only the various homes he was shuffled to and from in his early life. it was a series of different faces: figures meant to be parents, children of varying ages meant to be siblings ... none of which lasted long enough to make an impression. except for one.
the house evan spent most of his time at became the source of nightmares - specifically the fatherĀ figure: abel. a man who wore a million dollar smile right up until the moment that he terrorized each of his foster children. varying levels of mental, emotional, and physical abuse that left invisible scars on evan - many that he still bears. he ran away fromĀ āhomeā when he was 10, though he was not reported as missing. abel still collected money for fostering him.
he was a little mouse of a boy hanging around the parts of new york he did - attempting to survive. slowly he assimilated himself into a garage crew: rough-and-tumble men and women who fixed up cars by day and took them to emptier streets at night to race. it was there that he met andrej serjowski ---or simply serj, who looked after evan quite fondly.
it was a slow bond at first - tentative on evanās behalf. for a short while he stayed in the garage itself, taken care of by the garage crew communally all while being taught how to tune or fix up cars. he was taken fully under serjās wing when he was 13, even moving in with him and his twin daughters.
his power manifested in serjās home ---it began with stutter-stops, little flashes of teleportation just an inch or two forward. while serj was initiallyĀ surprised at the news, he continued to accept evan as h is own child, and agreed to keep his mutation a secret.
at 14 serj began teaching evan how to race. at 16 he was hitting the streets at night, entered in for big prizes. it was nice for a while ---a short rush of adrenaline. in his fifth or so race the brakes failed on a sharp turn and evan was crushed between the steering wheel and his seat.
he required a heart transplant - lucky enough to survive it, to have a donor. in the arduous recovery he was approached by charles xavier, and when he was well-enough to walk and function again he was recruited to xavierās school for the gifted ---serj supportive of this the entire way.
heās lived on the manor ground since: first as a student an now as a recruiter for the cause. evan blossomed from a troubled problem child to a mischievous problem adult, who believes wholly in xavierās ideals.
Ā Ā āø» LITTLE TIDBITS
has a really neat pog collection. ask him about his special edition slammers.
loves the night life: clubbing, street racing (because he still does), or just being out at night.
neon colors. everywhere.
evan always has a smile on his face, always seems to be in a good mood. but do not mistaken that light-hearted demeanor (learned) for naivety. heās seen his fair share of horrors throughout his life, and he chooses to overcome them every day rather than let them hold him back.
worked hardĀ to be able to be at his skill level of teleportation. heās not masterfulĀ by any sense of the word, but heās achieved impressive feats with it.
mutant name: glitchhop.
leaves behind a neon purple matrix when he teleports - particles, similar to the smoke kurt wagner leaves when he uses his ability, that fades within seconds.

Ā Ā Ā ------AS PER USUALĀ evan assumed he was in troubleĀ when heād been summoned to xavierās office. despite garnering the reputation of a little shit-kicker, heād always done so with the intention of having light-hearted fun. xavierās school for the gifted had been a blessing to the young mutant from the moment heād been approached at sixteen, bedridden and quite literally broken.Ā
Ā Ā Ā this was not the first time heād been summoned. usually it ended with some form of punishment for bad behavior ( never hurtful, never destructive, but enough that needed some reinforcement ). evan wracked his brain in a desperate attempt to think of what heād done thisĀ timeĀ when the question came from charlesā lips.
Ā Ā Ā ā Are you prepared to assume the role of a role model for these students as they mature? Being anything they may require? A teacher, a mentor, a confidant, a friend? ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā ā wh-- ā he paused, brows screwing themselves up in confusion. this was not how heād been spoken to before. so he sat a little straighter, felt himself square his shoulders, lean just a little closer to xavierās desk.Ā ā err, i am, yes. i donāt think iām any good as a teacher, but if ... if you need something explained like, about cars or something, yeah. ā heād found comfort here, found kinship among peers, students during his time living on the grounds. heād learned to hone his skill, to masterĀ it, to become something more than just a street racer with an edge. heād never let himself get hurt the way he had as a child ( the many ways he had ) again, he was surely prepared to share that feeling with others.Ā ā yeah, i can do it. ā
Ā Ā Ā charlesā smile was soft in response.
Ā Ā Ā ā Are you willing to assume the mantle of an X-Man if the need arises to defend the Institute and its students? ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā ā i-- for... for real? ā a million stars glittered in his eyes. it was the dream he didnāt know he had when he first started. it had always seemed out of reach, just beyond the grasp of the boy who could be anywhere ( within reason ) whenever he wanted. perhaps it was a carrot being dangled before him, but evan took the bait entirely. his nod was sure, but his hands were shaking from the excitement. he let them fall into his lap where he clasped them together ... xavier wouldnāt need to read minds to know how evan felt in this moment.Ā ā y-yeah. iād ... do it in a heartbeat. itād be an honor. ā
Ā Ā Ā his heart was a hammer in his chest. he could barely hear the last question with the thrum of blood rushing in his ears.
Ā Ā Ā ā Do you promise to refrain from using your abilities for violent reasons unless absolutely necessary (or for educational purposes)? ā
Ā Ā Ā evan nodded, swallowed the lump in his throat that made everything feel very dry, and spoke.Ā ā i promise. ā and he meant it, with every bit of his person, he meant he would never harm another unless the need was dire. ( it wasnāt in his nature, anyway ). it was not the first time heād shaken charlesā hand, but it was the most memorable. the thanks was soft, evan was buzzing as he left the office, politely dismissed after the questions had been answered so they may be assessed. noted had been jotted, and when xavier signed off on the bottom it was with the answer to the final question tha thad been posed on evanās way out the door.
Ā Ā Ā Ā ā if you were to become an x-man, what would your monicker be, mr. stone? ā
Ā Ā Ā all of those stars, that universe inside of him, nearly set the office ablaze in his eyes as evan turned to face xavier and answered,Ā ā glitchhop. ā
She cocked an eyebrow at the man, eyeing him.Ā āFriend?ā Stevie asked slowly. Admittedly, she was a little more suspicious than she knew she probably ought to be. But it couldnāt be helped- she was always like this with mutants that had physical tells. Ever since what happened to her father.. She freely admitted to a degree of protectiveness. But even if Stevie ignored that bias, she still found the manās sudden showing up strange- they hadnāt been able to make contact withĀ any next of kin yet to tell them that her patient was in the hospital. In her mind, the only people that should know were limited to hospital staff, medics, and, presumably, the attackers.Ā
Still, she kept her calm, absolute, air about her.Ā āUh-huh. Well, weāre only permitting immediate family into the room right now, sorry. So unless you can get their family on the phone, youāll have to visit another time.ā She didnāt move from her spot in front of the door, only tucked the chart in her hands under an arm as she folded them.Ā
-
Ā Ā Ā ------TRIPPED, MENTALLY, BUTĀ his flawless recovery was something to be noted. the smirk on his face suggested heād just eaten shit beforehand, but at least it was earnestĀ in delivery. hands told the rest of the story that his mouth failed to follow through on, and evan even bowed slightly as if it would help his case any.Ā ā did i say friend?Ā he ISĀ my friend, but heās actually my cousin. motherās side ---thereās a lot of kids there, but heās always been my favorite. best friends, he and i. thick as thieves. ā though some part of him imagined the doctor wouldnāt buy it. really, whatever line he fed wouldnāt matter ultimately. now that he knew the layout of the floor he could leave the building entirely and just ... popĀ right back in. but this was the fun part.
Ā Ā Ā Ā ā man, when we were eight we got into some trouble. there were firecrackers involved ... and a metal garbage can. so it was the middle of the night and weād lifted some of the real shitĀ fireworks from one of those street vendors that pop up near the fourth of july ... ā he hoped sheād cut him off, stop the bullshit before it started oozing out of his ears. maybe distract her with how outlandish everything was so sheād be too distracted to check back in on the mutant behind them once heād been politelyĀ ( he hoped itād be polite, at least ) asked to leave.
Jerome was laughing at the others excitement, soaking in the energy like a sponge as he pushed himself around small children and others in his way.Ā āCome on, DJ, put some Montell on in this joint!ā Though, he could deal with the current song being played, Jerome already pushing off onto the floor, saying a quickĀ ā watch and learnĀ ā to Evan. He skated around others, whizzing past all of them, just gaining speed and enjoying the feel of it all. Half away around, Jerome started doing little tricks consisting of fancy footwork and skating backward. Very much like Bow Wow in Roll Bounce.Ā
-
Ā Ā Ā ------EVAN HAD ENERGYĀ to spare. he was a little battery, the pink bunny in the enegizer commercials, but with a bit more oopmh!Ā he always suspected it had something to do with his ability ( and were they not surrounded by a throng of regularĀ people he might have allowed himself to cheat just a little with this game ), but he could be a bit much, he knew. it was where he found pleasant acceptanceĀ in these high-energy moments. he watched jerome rocket off, spin, reel, move his limbs in coordination and effort that was impressive, and felt kinship. he clapped enthusiastically, rolling lazily behind, something of a boat being tugged along by jeromeās efforts.Ā ā alright, alright! youāve gotĀ the moves, but do you have the zest? how long can you keep it up? ā
Ā Ā Ā ā like youāre six? youāre cleverer than that. even i know this, evan. even, evan. anyway⦠ā the persistent smile never left her tiers, bright as the sunā whether it was glowing through the windows of the aged building it didnāt seem to matter. the sheer excitement was enough to keep her motors going, radiated in the jitters of her limbs despite fatigue tugging at her joints and darkening the circles beneath her blues. it only helped her eagerness to get started with the confirmation heād be at her side to see it all unfold.
Ā Ā Ā ā first we put paste, glitter and water in the balloons, not enough to fill them because they need to explode and spread⦠fill the rest with air. theyāll be placed above the classrooms or dormitories depending when we want to do this. you know as well as i some of the staff patrol night and day to make sure everyoneās safe and thatās how the balloons will be set off. as they come down the main stairs, there will be thisĀ trigger string that will ready the pins attached to the balloons so they donāt explode early, opening the doors is what pops them. why is everyone coming out you ask? thatĀ is an excellent question: the trigger string also attached to siren that will be set off with the prepping of pins. why is the staff coming down the main stairs perfectly when everyone is in class?Ā because at the bottom of the stairs is where the shaving foam will explode and attract their attention. the shaving foam is hanging from the door, that will be triggered to fall from the ledge by a string and ball rolling towards it. the ball will originate from down the hall after being guided by the baseboards after falling from a slope thatā¦āĀ
Ā Ā Ā her silence was sudden, not even sounds of her thoughts trailing away left her lips as layla recalled everything she relayed, all the schemes built up in her head and understanding what itād mean if they came to fruition. but what ifā¦Ā if she changed⦠no excitement was lost just temporarily put on hold with a long huff and a lift of her head, gaze redirected to her would be partner-in-crime with contorted features of concern.Ā
Ā Ā Ā ā ā¦okay this is starting to sound like hazing and i think i didnāt think this through. help? help. i got carried away with the chain reaction part, i didnāt think of how much damage and clean up there will be⦠maybe just the balloons,ā she questioned, a little more confidence returned.
-
Ā Ā Ā ------HE FOLLOWED ALONGĀ the explanation with nods, eyes tracing along the imagined placements of each step to place the object there and envision it in action before they moved onto execution. her excitement propelled him forward through it, and only when she silenced herself did evan break from the spell of it all. wide eyes turned to consider her, to ensure that some bolt hadnāt loosened in the rube-goldberg of her mind, and once he realized that she hadnāt lost steam ( just began to rethink parts of the plan ) did he feel the sudden rigidity of his shoulders loosen. brows knitted in slight and lips pursed for a moment before he stooped and lifted up a balloon.Ā ā maybe ... just the balloons for now. because it does sound ...Ā Ā just a littleĀ like hazing. ā
Ā Ā Ā though he liked the idea of an invention moving perfectly in sync with its other parts, so a finger rose as polite interjection to both of them,Ā ā but we could make a less imposing project somewhere sequestered in the mansion later? because i want to see something brilliantly move like that. real-life mouse trap, you know? ā ... and perhaps he was a littleĀ worried about being found out by charles, or one of the actual adult teachersĀ ( not like he, who was a 25-year-old child ). he was meant to be a good example.
Ā Ā Ā fingers plucked at balloon skeletons, lifting the thin rubber en-masse, before he found laylaās gaze again.Ā ā so ... how are you liking it here? i mean, i know youāve been here for a while but ... i like to see how the people i convinced to come over to the funĀ side are holding up. offer assistance if needed ... you know. pretend iām remotely responsible. which ... i mean, i kind of am but. you know. ā he cleared his throat, offered a sheepish smile,Ā ā how are you? ā

THE DANGER ROOM @ THE XAVIER INSTITUTE, 12:32 PM ⢠@glitchhopsā
āwhat do you say we create a level 3 simulation just for the two of us as a refresher?ā
-
Ā Ā Ā ------ā LEVEL THREE? ā MISCHIEF sparkled in his eyes at the suggestion - the threat of a challengeĀ igniting the spark. he nodded, beginning to roll his shoulders as a small attempt to limber up.Ā ā fire it up, iām absolutely game. ā
Her office was stark. She had put up a few pale picture frames that still had the stock landscapes photos in them, had a pair of chairs near the door to serve as a waiting room, and a few desks in the otherwise large, empty space. She sat behind one of them, the only one populated with a lamp, papers, and an empty mug. Ivanna had just stood to refill said mug when she heard a knock on her office door. Opening it revealed sunshine made bipedal. āSorry, Iām not interested in hearing about our Lord and Savior, have a day,ā she said, and began to close the door again.Ā
-
Ā Ā Ā ------REALLY, SHE WASĀ lucky that he didnāt just pop inĀ as he was wont to do. evan had a bad habit of just appearingĀ to people who werenāt expecting it ... but that was the nature of a teleporter, he imagined. or at least thatās how he surmised it for himself. despite her immediate refusal to listen to anything he said evan remained optimistic. it was really difficult to get him to be anything but. and once the door began to shut he DIDĀ teleport ... just inside, leaving behind the usual strange neon-purple glitch pattern in his wake that dissipated quickly.
Ā Ā Ā Ā ā well, thatās an assumption. maybe i came by to talk. maybe i want to hire you to snoop in on someone on a very noir hunch. maybe i just wanted to bring you coffee. you know what they say about assumptions. ā
āThen come on.ā He was standing now, the strings to his personal skates tied perfectly and hands in his pockets. He even skated backwards just a bit.Ā āTime to behold the glory know as Jerome Zimmerman, the best roller skater in the city!āĀ
-
Ā Ā Ā ------HE DID NOTĀ need to be told twice. his switch was always on, ready to go, and that was sometimes the problem with evan stone and all of the energy he had to burn. he tipped himself from his toes to stand straight ( he had a tendency to balance on the tips of his skates where the front brakes were, like a graceful dancer, when he was idle ) and rolled easily after jerome.Ā ā can someone get this man some music? i KNOWĀ heās going to need some music. ā aloud, obnoxious, certainly for the rink dj to hear.Ā ā to quote the great captain falcon: show me your moves. ā
āDoctor, thereās someone waiting outside the room, wanting to speak with the patient.ā
Stevie nodded in acknowledgement to the nurse, and looped the stethoscope sheād been using back around her neck. She stepped back from the bed and closed the curtain around the unconscious patient- a mutant whoād been attacked and gotten stuck with half-phased crystalline skin. Itād been the third such attack this week.Ā
She stepped out of the room, only closing the door behind her most of the way, and stepped towards the man she assumed to be the visitor in question. As she always did, especially while at work, she gave him a once over- her ability interpreting what she was seeing: low blood-sugar, non-threatening, otherwise fine. Given that it was about lunchtime for most people, she only filed the information away. āIām this roomās attending doctor. Can I help you?ā
-
Ā Ā Ā ------HE LOVED HISĀ job. it was a simple one, really ---xavier used that little doo-dad in the basement to figure out who in the world was like themĀ and gave a name and location to evan. in turn, evan simple popped byĀ to get his recruitment on ... well, that was the day job. the night job was being one of the x-menĀ and that little fact would never stop making evan smile. and that was how he popped into the hospital ... well, how he popped into one of the janitorial closets of the hospital. thankfully nobody was inside rummaging through supplies, but the broom whacking into his shin was a grim reminder of his abilityās cruel side-effects.
Ā Ā Ā he all but fell out of the closet - a nurse or two turning at the brightly-dressed twenty-something as he straightened himself out and shut the door with his foot, as he apologized and made his way down the hall. it was only a moment ... just a moment he waited before the door to the patient room opened ( and evan would never admit that he was about to pop inĀ with a more direct line of sight to his goal ) when the doctor cam out.Ā ā oh, hey. āĀ
Ā Ā Ā and he felt sheepish. it was authority, they always caused that light blanching of skin to happen. immediately he palmed at the back of his neck and smiled,Ā ā i just wanted to go in and see my friend here. make sure theyāre doing alright, you know? ā
Ā Ā Ā ā so iāve think iāve got the perfect idea, okay? ā her feet teetered onto their sides, hyper, nervous at what heād say when everything was laid out before them.Ā her offer began with a bait of line,Ā ā this place needs more fun chaos that isnāt someone losing their sense of control, ā and now here they stood, in front of a bunch of deflated balloons, tack pins, tape, and various of other implements to make a rube goldberg machine that could innocently startle the beloved institute collectively in a chain reaction. layla explained as much too, pointing to each tool as they played their part in order of sequence.
Ā Ā Ā Ā ā the only thing is itās a two-job and iām too tuckered out to help myself. i thought⦠youād maybe like in on it? maybe i could get a different perspective on how to make this more effective? ā
@glitchhopsā
-
Ā Ā Ā ------HIS EYES TRACEDĀ a line between each of the laid-out objects, mind working to try and connect exactly how they were related to one-another. he loved little games. he loved tricks and innocent chaos - the kind that had his side aching in stitches from laughter or his cheeks sore from a smile that was too-wide occupying his expression for so long. and here he stood, shoulder-to-shoulder with layla, eyeballing the ingredients to the deconstructed rube goldberg. he wondered what it would turn out to be. how it would cause that sweet, sweet innocent chaos that would ache his sides and cheeks.
Ā Ā Ā Ā ā well, obviously iām going to help. ā obviously. because it was very much out of the region of thought to assume evan would tell her to do it on her own. or worse ---find someone else. he almost shuddered at the notion.Ā ā alright. so explain to me, like iām six, the current thought for the order of operations. ā

āIām just saying! Trust and believe me when I say that Iām a skating God.ā Jerome Zimmerman was a man who stretched the truth often but this was the one time he was genuinely telling the truth.Ā āWhen I was in middle school, I got first place in a skating competition!ā His biggest achievement yet.Ā āSo yeah, you can trust me with your life when we get out there. I got you.āĀ
-
Ā Ā Ā ------WITH SO MUCHĀ energy to consistently burn evan often sought out a means to deposit it somewhere. he wondered, frequently, if he would simply combust ---should he ever be at a state of rest for too long. it built up in him like a shaken soda bottle. eventually the cap wouldnāt even need to be jarred to much before it just ... became a volcano. skating was just one outlet, among many others: a means to move each limb with exertion, to give all of thatĀ an outlet. he was practically vibrating as his listened to jerome.Ā ā i actually ... really want to see what youāre capable of, though. like, i donāt doubt you? but i really need to seeĀ it. you know, BEHOLD THE GLORYĀ and all that. āĀ
Seth leaned against the arcade cabinet, hands leaving the control to rub dry, tired eyes. Though he wouldnāt admit to just anyone, he frequented this place, mostly coming during the middle of the day in the middle of the week when most kids were in school. As a college freshmen, his friends and him would often come here, and during that time, the mutant had set the Ms. Pacman high score. His competitiveness wouldnāt let him let it go, and so he would come here every couple of weeks to ensure his spot on top. And so, he dug into his pocket looking for quarters, frustrated when he had none, only paper bills. The quarter machine in the arcade was currently busted, and the bank was too far. He looked around, spotting someone walking into the aisle.Ā āExcuse me,ā he said as he waved the person over,Ā āDo you any quarters? I can give yaā a dollar in exchange.ā
-
Ā Ā Ā ------HE HAD HISĀ own vices, admittedly. he held some sort of record in street fighter, something he wasnāt quite willingĀ to let his vice grip on loose ... PERHAPS IT WAS PREFERENCE. it was certainly a way to burn time when he wasnāt admitting aloud that he was at least somethingĀ of an adult. the hot pink fanny pack resting against his thigh was always full of quarters, tickets, token exchanges from his various forays into the arcade. maybe it was sad that the guy at the counter knew him by just the appearance of loud neon colors alone, but evan found some sort of solace in it. and as he veered down the aisle toward that glorious street fighter machine he paused only when he heard the excuse meĀ ---just in case they were actually talking to him.
Ā Ā Ā Ā ā yeah, sure. ā zip. into the hot pink bag his fingers went, snatching at the first four quarters in a neat little stack he could find, before he shifted them into his palm and offered them out.Ā ā donāt worry about the buck. ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ( Ā @c23startersāā ! Ā ) Ā Ā ā Ā what Ā do Ā you Ā think ? Ā iāve Ā never Ā actually Ā worn Ā anything Ā so  ⦠ fitted Ā before Ā - Ā ā Ā Ā and Ā sheās Ā shopping Ā alone Ā , Ā talking Ā to Ā [ YOUR MUSE ] Ā that Ā just Ā so Ā happened Ā to Ā be Ā at Ā the Ā thrift Ā store Ā . Ā Ā ā Ā i Ā usually Ā wear Ā more Ā flared Ā things Ā , Ā but Ā that Ā doesnāt Ā seem Ā right Ā for Ā this Ā party Ā iām Ā supposed Ā to Ā attend Ā . Ā ā Ā
-
Ā Ā Ā ------ā UUHH, I MEANĀ i think it looks fine? but you know i donāt really? know much about flaresĀ and form fittingĀ and all of that. are you going to wear like? tape? or something? iād be worried about slippage. but i move around a lot. are you worried about slippage? ā word rush, fast but even in pace, as was a trademark of the young man. at least he looked earnest in his answer, one brow slightly raised as he peered at the various places the outfit in question enhanced features. respectfully, of course. if only because the stranger had asked.

teleportation. he can move himself and a small handful of targets from point a to point c, skipping everything about point b in the process. heās also capable of utilizing his teleportation in combat, and on rareĀ instances teleporting large objects.
whatās your mutantās classification level? (you can choose it here.)
aside from the small trace of quickly-fading purple/pink particles that he leaves behind when he teleports, there is no physical indication of his status as a mutant. evan is alphaĀ level.
how old were they when they first discovered their abilities? how did it happen?
13, shortly after being unofficially adopted by serj. causing some form of backlash at yet another homeĀ he was sure heād be kicked out of. he dumped a small tin of used motor oil on the living room carpet, and stutter-teleported away when serj approached.
so, what can your mutant do with their abilities?
evan is presently bordering from advancedĀ level teleportation to professionalĀ level. he pushes himself often, attempting to broaden his capabilities. he weaves his power into combat and has (with a shit-eating grin on his face) teleported weapons out of his opponents hands to confuse them or otherwise make a mockery of their attempts. he also utilizes his capabilities every day ---if you could teleport from your house to work, wouldnāt you?
ā¦and what canāt they do (at least, not yet)?
teleport mass distances or incredibly largeĀ objects. heād like to be able to reliably teleport a car while heās in it ---heās only done that once and it wiped him the fuck out.
whatās one thing they hope to learn or are currently trying to learn with their abilities?
see above. he doesnāt want to be able to teleport buildings or anything of the like, but heād like to be able to teleport the denizens of the manor should something massively life-threatening come to his home. so his goal is to teleport the mutants within xavierās manor in one or two trips (one ideally) out of harmās way.
what is the most powerful thing your mutant can do with their abilities? do you think they would actually do it?
telefrag: teleporting objects into a target, effectively bisecting or punching a hole into his target. he could, theoretically, use glass to split a concrete pillar with this method (per the wiki). evan would only do it under extreme duress or self-defense. it would have to be life-threateningĀ to himself or someone he cares for.
what are your mutantās weaknesses?
god, he gets so exhausted. if heās teleporting a lot of people, doing it rapid-fire, or trying to teleport a largeĀ object (his car) heāll wipe himself out entirely. if heās reallyĀ pushing himself, the physical exertion will start to show (bloody nose, shortness of breath, basically going white before passing out). heās come back to the manor with evidence of a bloody nose too many times. and he needs a high recovery time after that much pushing.
do they use their abilities in their day-to-day life? in what ways?
absolutely. he uses it to get from one side of the manor to the other frequently. he flash stepsĀ often ---small little teleports to supplement actually walking somewhere. heās so seamless with it that itās becomeĀ a part of him.
as a mutant, do they have any goals? dreams?
he shares xavierās vision of a world where mutants are accepted as regular citizens. but since thatās lofty ... heād settle with being able to teleport mass amounts of people or large objects, for now. itās a day-by-day process.
how do they feel about the last 30+ years of mutant history? notably, the presidential address of 1983 and the essex house?
heās not ... happy with being revealed that way. evan doesnāt trust politicians or anyone holding a large seat of some form of government importance (he thinks theyāre all liars). essex house horrifies him ... that mutants were subjected to what they were, under the pretense of safety. heās distrustful of anythingĀ outside of xavierās manor. he even doesnāt trust the omegas.
