Theater viewing experience has bolstered my desire to never interact with this fandom in any capacity. Like I left that theater with a seed of misanthropy in my heart and had to take deep breaths and remember how unbearable I was when I was 13. But it was genuinely appalling my friend was like "I SAW THE FNAF MOVIE OPENING NIGHT AND IT WAS NOTHING LIKE THIS"

I think I basically didn't really like it EXCEPT for everything involving Jax and the Jax stuff was so mind-blowingly good that it evens out. The entire first person POV section with Ribbit was all time shit and I somehow wasn't expecting Jax's gender to be so explicitly confirmed. I'm really glad Goose got to make this and I hope it means something important to at least one of the horrible 13 year olds in my theater.

I did kind of like the catharsis of all the crying and hugging and mental breakdowns but the pacing was so wackkkkk like the digitization reveal came and WENT, and there was this total lack of the tension-breaking dark humor that is in every other episode… all of the Big Emotions just kinda gets to a point.

The Caine redemption arc ("arc") was ANNOYING!!!!!!!!

Lol this review sounds very negative but I had a good time - well I didn't really have a good time because the theatre was so bad but I enjoyed watching it and it's inspiring that something like this has done so well commercially.
