This was absolutely embarrassing and completely unprovoked. He wouldn’t have taken her as someone who would have enjoyed this type of humor. Given her usual attitude, it was hard to imagine that she was taunting him right now. His heart seemed to sink into his stomach upon hearing the news, words caught in his throat as he tried to think of a way to respond in apology before she revealed her jest. A small groan and squint of his eyes that he was almost a bit disappointed that she couldn’t see. “Next time I’ll make it roses, purely for the sake of the thorns.” He huffed, shifting a bit in position. “Shouldn’t you be asleep?”

Continued from X @kxrieiti The giggle only seems to make him roll his eyes, though his expression clearly read embarrassment, thankful that she wasn’t able to see it. A clear of his throat would be his attempt of shaking the feeling but to no avail. “N-No! No the nickname is ... fine. Just not something that I’m quite used to...” He admittedly, softly. A defeated sigh escaped him as he pinched the bridge of his nose, eyes closing for just a moment. “...Were the flowers to your liking, at least?” Call him ignorant but he hadn’t exactly made it easy on himself in knowing her interests, therefore the generic gift was a last ditch effort in making it presentable.
