I will sing no requiem

“This is gonna be the longest hour of my life.“

“I know it’s hard but going for a shower isn’t as bad as you think it’s going to be.”

“That’s…not a mistletoe, right? Just a regular plant that happens to be tacked onto the ceiling?”

Glenn looked up at the plant on the ceiling and then back at Nikolai. “I swear to god if you kiss me I will punch you brat, I will punch you hard.”

“I give you, Lemon and Lime tea.”

“And what am I supposed to do with this?”

“I’m only a teacher for the days where Hogwarts is open. Every other day is open season for me. And Christmas is my down time.” 

“So what you’re saying is that Christmas is your chance to ‘let loose’ per say.”

“Guess you're not much of a Christm-” Malia laughed slightly and stopped herself. “Much of a holiday guy.”

“Oh no I love the holiday, like the one specific day where I get shit. The rest of it though I have no care for.”

“Okay but that’s like a given…” She paused. “Christmas.”

Without saying anything Glenn drew his wand, pointed it at Gwen’s face and muttered the aguamenti charm shooting water straight into the girl’s face. “Oops.”

“Wow, dark,” Aidan replied.

“Sorry would you rather I gave you a pep talk or something? Because honestly it would probably just end with me telling you that it’s not worth it.”

“Christmas starts December 1st. I thought this was common knowledge, you know, with advent calendars and all. Though you’re right I suppose. Christmas music does get quite annoying after a while.”

“Did you or did you not hear me quite explicitly say not to mention the C word? Because I’m almost one hundred percent sure I just heard you say it twice. Twice!”

“Why? ‘Cause you’re just so excited, right? You could show it a little more, honestly I had to guess.”

“Yes that’s it exactly, the excitement is bubbling up so much if I hear it one more time I might explode.”

“You are,” he said. “I’m not doing anything. I didn’t say the C word.”

“One day my fear of my mother will run out and I’ll finally hurt you, you know that right?” Glenn answered, sighing. “No you didn’t because somewhere in there you have a brain and you used it for once.”

“Chris…I’m just kidding. Cheer up, Glenny.”

“Glenny? Who the hell is Glenny and what do you think you are doing.”

“I can’t believe we have exams soon, this semester went way too quick. If I don’t die by the end it’ll be a miracle.”

“I mean if it’s death you are wanting I’m sure arrangements could be made.”

“It’s much bigger than a person.”

“Okay you’ve lost me twerp, what’s going on?”

“Yes because that’s going to work. Sit your ass down and talk to me, who is going to regret whatever they did? Just give me a name.”

“just five more hours.”

“Get your ass out of bed before I drag it Apollo. I’m not even supposed to be here.”

“I belong here… alone, where I can be who I am and not hurt anybody.”

“What in Merlin’s name are you talking about Nikolai?”
