In 1949, Samuel Steward would meet Alfred Kinsey, who was working on his “Kinsey Report” documenting human sexual behavior. Steward would provide Kinsey with large numbers of early Polaroid sex photographs which he took during the frequent all-male sex parties he held in his Chicago apartment. He also allowed Kinsey to take detailed photographs of that sexually themed apartment, allowing us today a glimpse into the gay culture of mid 20th century America.

I think every lesbian who says she wouldn't date a bi woman is functionally on the same wavelength as men who say they would only marry a virgin
it all boils down to "penis steals women's purity" and there's literally no non-shitty way to believe that. being gay doesn't give you a get out of jail free card for being sexist

I've never been able to find a cohesive list of non-binary directors that didn't just include them in with (mostly just) women or (sometimes) trans folk too, so I made my own. Please please help me add to it by commenting here or on letterboxd if you know of any omissions or errors:
Making my own non-binary directors list because I can never find any on here that aren't lists of 'women &...' Sorted alphabetically by dire
The other one lists a queer interest film from every year from 1894 onwards with the hope of busting a myth that queer cinema/our stories are something new, rather than something with a rich cinematic history that spreads back as long as there have been films. Clips from this list are also threaded on twitter.
Inspired by the queerness of early film, I wanted to find and watch a queer interest film from every year from 1894 to present day: we have
Happy pride month! 🌈🎬
You know something? Maybe once a week, I wake up paralyzed… reliving that night. But before the sun went down, I think that was the best day of my life. Was it like that for you? No doubt about it.
