Caught in Ripped Narrative Fabrics

ok first things first, where I grew up:

I lived in some Ready Player One type of trailer park. Huge metal cargo boxes stacked on top of each other and heaps of metal and trash were all around the “neighborhood”. I think it was on some sort of bay (or port, I forgot the word)? Thats the only way I can really explain the cargo boxes, plus I vividly remember the smell of the ocean and being able to dig for clams and crab.

My family was small but since the “houses” were so close together the other kids in the port were practically my siblings. I had…2 older brothers I think? The number and age keeps getting mixed up in my mind, but I only ever played with the kids in the family next to us, they were 2 twins and they had 3 sisters I think. They were a bit younger than me but I liked having the big brother role.

My parents and aunts weren’t…the best guardians ever, I don’t remember mich about them but I do remember a bunch of moments where me and my siblings were denied food because “we didn’t have enough”. I won’t dwell on that part too much because my dads sister was amazing, she took a lot of the kids in the port to aquariums and even the other districts.
