If we replace businesses which wouldn't hire black women with a government passing laws which specifically target trans women, you obtain an analogous statement about transmisogyny. It is phenomenally easy to apply intersectionality to the oppression of trans women. Therefore, if someone claiming to be familiar with intersectionality denies the existence of transmisogyny, they must be speaking in bad faith. Such a belief can only come from willful ignorance or malice.
