Have you thought about looking into public domain to see if there's anything interests you?
Unfortunately, most of the stuff in the public domain aren't things that inspire the switch that gets flipped for fanfiction.
Trust me, I've tried but Great Gatsby and Pride and Prejudice are just my comfort reads, not anything that inspires me to write. And the further I stay away from Moby Dick and the Scarlet Letter, the happier I'll be.

If anyone suggests I should read more to get an idea for my book… this isn’t even all of my books.
Me: I like sports. Maybe that could be the concept for my book?
Reality: NFL Football is blocked by trademarks. You'd have to come up with a brand new league.
Me: ...but that reads like Wish.com football.
Reality: Pick another sport.
Me: ...but football's what I know by heart, I wouldn't need to spend 5 years researching it to write about it.
Reality: then just write football fanfiction
Me: but...I want to be published
And that constant back and forth is how you get the above gif.
Day...I lost count of trying to write a novel and having *no idea*. No idea of genre, no idea of plot, no idea of what I want to write...well no scratch that. I want to write football but I don't have 'fight NFL lawyers' money and every time I try writing a fake football league, it comes out like Wish.com football.
Ideas would be nice or really anything! A genre you think I'd be best at, something, anything. I've consulted so many Youtube videos about how to get an idea and they're all like 'once you get your seed..." *stares blankly at computer screen*

...yeah, for the past three days at some point, this stupid attempt at a book has caused me to break down sobbing at my keyboard.
Why?
I CAN'T COME UP WITH AN IDEA.
...Ideas welcomed at this point. I'm going back to crying and hoping something comes out of it.
...my brain apparently can only come up with ideas when it's tied to existing worlds.
