Just your average modern AU Hideyoshi fluff, simply because I’m down and my imagination is kickin’ it. ~~~~ Tonight they were having fireworks. Of course, we lived in a small town, the fireworks were going to suck. But that didn’t stop the wonderful Hideyoshi from asking me to go on a date with him down to the festival and watch the fireworks. I was feeling down. My life just got busier and it was my only day off from both my job and my life, so it was nice. He took me down to the festival where it seemed like everyone you knew managed to manifest. “Do you want anything to eat or drink MC?” He asked me as we were walking the street with all the vendors. “No, I think I’m good for right now” is all I say in response. Then Hideyoshi gives me that sad half smile of his. I just know he’s going to do something to make me feel better, I hope it’s not embarrassing. As time creeps on, we find a good place for fireworks and thankfully I don’t think I can see anyone I know. I let Hideyoshi take me in his arms and keep me warm just before the fireworks start. Randomly, I get all giddy inside and start saying whatever comes to mind. “They’re about to start! Look Hide!” I start to shake in excitement. They finally kick off and, as I said before, they couldn’t have sucked more. So halfway through we decide to leave. As I’m walking hand in hand with Hideyoshi in front of people trying to leave, he suddenly dips me. You know, like in the movies after a dance of some sort. He dips me, and starts giving me light kisses to make me feel better. He knew I got nervous about anything but hand holding in public, so after he was done and saw the blush on my face, he chuckles and says “Let’s get home, MC. Suddenly I’m tired, too.” I have a sneaky thought that he doesn’t mean tired at all. But I sure am.

This was an ask from @his-pretty-little-doll I’m still on mobile! So bear with me. MC’s POV ~~~~ I’m waiting on Kenshin to get here. He told me to be here at midnight and it’s kind of chilly so I hope he comes soon. He’s probably in the garden though, that’s the only place he ever is at midnight. Just as I’m about to head for the garden, someone suddenly tickles me from behind “Hahahaha.. Oka-hahahaha Ken! Hahahahaha…” “Well hello, is that smile just for me?” He finally says after he’s done tickling me. I catch my breath and as I go to answer he suddenly has flowers in his hand, and is offering them to me. “Lord Kenshin, these are beautiful! You didn’t have to pick them for me! I know how much you love your garden.” I hastily say as he takes my hand and puts the flowers in them for me. “It’s my way of saying sorry for making you wait, after all the reason you HAD to wait was because I lost track of time in the garden.” He takes my free hand in his, and makes his way toward the garden he came from. “Oh MC, you’re freezing! Here…” Lord Kenshin starts to take of his kimono to give to me, even though he’s shirtless under. I try to decline but he just simply won’t have it. I try not to stare. “Well won’t you be tired tomorrow? I should’ve thought of that before. You should be asleep, you probably have a long da-” He cuts me off, “Shhhh MC. I asked you to meet me at midnight for a reason. Just follow me. I want to show you something.” So that’s what I do. I let him take my hand once again, while I’m in his over sized kimono, and lead me to where ever he wants to take me. Though it’s not like I haven’t been through his garden before, this is where we always go for some privacy. “Almost there. Are you okay?” He startled me back into reality. “Yeah! I’m alright.” I say in a higher tone then I meant to.

In a few more minutes, he come to stop at a bush that looks to be the only over grown one in the garden. “Okay MC, now’s the fun part. I’m going to lift you over the bush.” Before I have time to ask what he means, I feel his strong hands lift me into the air and I let out a startled yelp. He comes over a moment later with a smile on his face. “Did I scare you? Anyway this is one of my favorite places. Besides the person who helped me create this garden, you are the only one who knows this place exists. This is usually where I am while everyone goes into town to find me.” We walk a little bit and there’s a small pond. The moon reflects off of it so beautifully my breath catches in my throat. “Please don’t tell anyone about this place. I brought you here because I thought I could trust you with my hidden happy place.” He says, as he stares into the pond. “Of course I won’t tell anyone.”

A few minutes pass by.

“Lord Kenshin?” I take my hand from his grip “Yeah, MC? Is something wrong?” His attention automatically goes to me as I start to pace the other direction. “Oh no! It’s just… Why did you bring me here? I’m nothing special and all we’re doing is staring at the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen. Don’t get me wrong! I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else right now. It’s just, why me?” After a few moments of silence, just when I thought he wasn’t going to answer me, he breaks the silence. “MC, I brought you here to show you something, not the pond. I choose this place because I knew we’d be safe and we’d have privacy. But here goes nothing….” Aaaaand Lord Kenshin takes off towards the pond. What’s he doing? Just as I start to follow, he bends down towards the water and says something inaudible. The next thing I know all the fish in the pond start jumping in a very practiced way. Lord Kenshin stands up and looks back at me, smiling, while the first jump in the water behind him, making him look like a God.

I’m too mesmerized to say anything until it’s over and Lord Kenshin is beside me again, taking my hand. Instead of showing him how surprised I am, which he probably already saw because of my face, I simply ask him “What other hidden talents do you have?” He chuckles and replys. “Some say I’m a wonderful kisser, would you like to find out?” And before I know it, his lips are pressed against mine, asking for permission to explore. And I grant him the pleasure of surprising me all night.

Hi!! *waves* I hope you liked it. I know it’s not what you were probably thinking of when you requested this. And you probably are thinking “really? Snow White style?” But I am satisfied with it. And please don’t correct me if the correct word for the guy clothes isn’t kimono. I’m bad with that stuff and I figured people would envision way more stars then they would if it were a modern AU. I LOVE stars and I’m sad that there’s so much light pollution you can hardly see them like you could hundreds of years ago.
