I think here she realized maybe giving Bassie the flower was a bad idea

I'm going to be honest. The real reason why I think Qwel has stated that no ship is canon in the Dandy's World game (Aside from Mr. and Mrs. Holloway who are implied to have never existed) doesn't just do with her wanting everybody to feel their ships are validated. (I do think that's part of reason don't get me wrong) but I believe there is a lore reason for it too. Basically. The toons cannot feel romantic bonds for one another because it was forbidden from their design. I mean think about it. From what we know about Arthur and Delilah, do you really think they want toons to be able to form those close bonds with one another?

This could be why Gourdy's parents were never made into actual toons, because their love for one another might have "infected" the ichor and given other toons the ability to feel the same way.

We know that Gardenview's system does everything in its power to weaken familial bonds between toons. Look at how out of all the toons who are siblings/cousins (Goob and Scraps, Cosmo and Ginger, Connie and Soulvester, and Flutter and Flyte) Goob and Scraps are the only ones who aren't separated from one another for 11 months as they are both year round toons. We see first hand how they have no problem separating literal family to control the toons.

If this is the reason why NO ships are canon then they should allude to it in a lore thing or something because honestly. Most Dandys world content that is being consumed IS cute ship art, and animations and stuff like that. (I wanna see more angst HELP)

Since some of ya'll are still not fully convinced there's no malicious intent behind it. Let me break it down for you.

So, it turns out Delilah may have also checked on the toons emotions as well, but just because she suggested them to get some space doesn't mean she didn't try to help them at all.

She likely DID check on them. She likely decided they'll want to be alone until next year, so she sees it as a good thing because they'll get a well deserved break and some space.

She is not saying that it's good they have seasonal depression. She is not saying she programmed them to be like that. It's not actually confirmed whether she did or not yet.

She isn't ''abusive'' or ''evil'' just because she suggested them to have some space. She's not a miracle worker. She can't just magically cure depression or modify these toons to not have seasonal depression. She can only talk to them and go from there. Mental issues are a lot more different than Health issues, even for toons.

The waste of resources part? That isn't her calling the TOONS resources. She's likely referring to the two Christmas floors, one of which has a huge fucking ice rink by the way. That WOULD take a lot of resources to maintain all year.

And it IS a waste to keep Christmas toons, or any Holiday toons out all year. What would Christmas toons do in Easter? What would Easter toons do on Halloween? What would Halloween toons do on Christmas?

If we count every current event toon, we get 12 extra toons that would have to be looked after all year on top of the several other toons. Gardenview likely doesn't have the budget to support 12 extra toons all year, nor maintain the seasonal maps.

Why can't they share a room with existing toons? That might work for the relatives, but the rest, not so much. Cocoa sharing a room with Yatta is a disaster waiting to happen. Yatta WILL lose control. Cocoa WILL get a bite mark like Ginger. Bobette won't want to go anywhere without Coal. How many toons actually like Pebble? How many toons are scared of Pebble or find him straight up unruly? These toons normally feel similarly about Coal as well. Not many toons here like dogs. Who would Rudie even share with? No one would be able to pretend it's Christmas every day, no one could stand to share a ROOM with him every night.

And although that was a good alternative to what was decided on, you can't blame Delilah for not coming up with that idea. Again, she can't do everything, She's already doing a lot making toons, running checkups, and doing paperwork.

If you want to blame anyone for not offering an alternative, blame ARTHUR. He did tell her to check on the Christmas toons, but did HE offer any alternative to them being together out of the public eye? NO.

You don't know that Delilah DIDN'T check on the Christmas toons. She may very well have and thought that they will need time alone to get better. Real life therapists and people in general suggest giving yourself space by the way.

Why not make the holiday toons rooms? Gardenview isn't infinite. Why did they add 12 more toons then? Likely because Arthur wanted holiday toons, Delilah was just following orders. Would you rather her of not followed orders? But yeah once again, blame Arthur on the poor planning mentioned in that point.

Why not convert other rooms? Once again, that job would technically fall on Arthur and not Delilah. He has a lot less work to do than she does by the looks of it. He doesn't take care of the toons as much as the handlers do. He doesn't even animate the show much anymore, he has animators for that now. So why does everything have to be done by Delilah exactly?

The Ichor operation is what you do in the game. It brings power to Gardenview, giving the access to the train (which gets them “luxuries,” as Dyle says in his gossip), ac/heating, lights, etc. anything powered by electricity. This is implied in Bobette gossip. (…I've asked her how she's able to direct all the power to keep the lights well lit. I always thought we'd have less energy from the shutdown-!-She uhm… never gives a direct answer though, it's odd now that I think on it… huh.) Brightney didn’t give a direct answer because it’d sound disturbing to use the same substance they bleed to power the building.

The Ichor operation is NOT Delilah forcing dandy to kill his friends. Delilah didn’t force Dandy to do anything. The Ichor operation was made by dandy to give Gardenview power and help the toons survive alone.

The Ichor operation LITERALLY happens after Gardenview closes. Delilah wouldn’t even be there. Delilah’s not even evil?? She’s just apathetic and business minded. I’d say she leans more towards morally grey or just an asshole than evil.

The toons turn twisted because of strong negative emotion. Not because Delilah forced dandy to kill them all. Jeez.

Yall gotta stop believing those theorists who have never touched the game or those yt short animations.
