Tickles have infested my brain, man

Captain Barnacles

A Rather stoic but very gentle Bear with occasional playful tendencies. 80% Ler and 20% Lee

It's no surprise he's usually the one watching from the sidelines and not actively participating, but that doesn't mean he won't indulge if provoked~

He usually gives quick and sneaky tickles just to rile someone up a bit throughout the day, but he's never too mean about it

Kwazii usually tries getting a raise out of our dear captain wich usually ends with him getting tickled instead

He's naturally stronger than everyone as a polar bear, but he'll pretend to loose when it comes to the little ones ♡

When someone does actually manage to tickle him, he gets very embarrassed but never tries to squirm too much to not hurt anyone with his strength

His worst spots are his sides and belly, and his laugh is a real delight to listen to with those deep and rich belly laughs

Kwazii

Proudly proclaims to be a Ler but is actually more of a Lee most of the time. 70% Lee and 30% Ler

He loves to tickle his family and friends, especially peso and the vegimals because they're easy and fun targets^^

Captain barnacles, Inkling or Calico jack aren't as easy targets when it comes to tickling, but that doesn't mean he won't try!

But he still ends up getting tickled silly most of the time by either one of them, and also the occasional sea creatures on missions¯\_(ツ)_/¯

He doesn't mind being tickled tho and actually enjoys the playfulness and fun aspect of it, happily laughing himself silly

He's got a loud cackling laugh and freezes up when getting tickled, right before retaliating. He actively tries not to squirm too much when getting tickled by sea creatures or the junior octonauts to not hurt them tho *❀.

His worst spots are his feet and sides, a fact his grandpa loves to exploit whenever they're having a tickle fight, along with the captain who knows that spot very well

Peso

A wholesome little Lee, but with occasional playful streaks. 80% Lee and 20% Ler

Loves to tickle his patients occasionally, along with his friends because laughter is the best medicine after all .✦ ݁˖

He also used the excuse of "needing to do a checkup" more than once, just to tickle his victim a little instead or while actually doing a checkup (better safe than sorry)

Gets tickled quite frequently by sea creatures just like kwazii, though kwazii himself often tickles him too

Doesn't even try to run away when he's the victim (he's too slow to effectively run anyway) and just let's himself get tickled while pleading for mercy...

His laugh is more on the quiet side, but very giggly and high pitched as he flails and squeaks himself silly >ᴗ<

His Feet and belly are his worst spots, but his neck and sides get great reactions too as his laugh gets ecen more high pitched and also surprisingly louder

Shellington

A hopeless cinnomonbun with the self preservation instincts of a baby. 100% Lee ⋆˚✿˖°

He gets often tickled awake by the others if he falls asleep on the job, but he doesn't mind too much ◞ ᴗ ◟

If he gets the chance then he'll definitely run away if someone tries to actively tickle him, but that usually ends with him out of breath or tripping over himself

He gets really flustered whenever someone does get him, trying to cover his face or just hugging himself and turning away/ around

Like I said, he doesn't mind being tickled, though he flails and squirm like a worm on a hook so be warned ❤︎

His worst spot is his belly, but you'll get a real good reaction if you go for his neck and ears too as he squirms away

And his laugh sounds wild and boyish in a fun way, almost like cackling but not as crazy as kwaziis laugh. He even gives little otter squeaks occasionally •⩊•

Dashi

A mischievous Ler despite her gentle looks and nature. 90% Ler and 10% Lee

She's as bad as kwazii as she dishes out sneaky little poke attacks, but she hides it better than him behind a sweet smile⊹ ࣪ ˖

Loves to tickle tweak and shellington the most out of the octonaut gang, but she's not above trying her luck with the captain too... and despite what you might think, she actually does have a good chance!

She'll loose in a battle of strength tho, wich means she has to rely on speed and words to fluster her victims into oblivion

She likes to observe her Lee and point out their reactions wich is incredibly flustering, even more so if she starts using sly comment to tease ×̷̷͜×̷ Rip

But on the off chance she's the victim, it's a quick battle as she just curls up into a little ball and giggles herself silly ❀

She's got a nice and kinda girly laugh, even hiccuping in between if you get the sweet spot on her belly with a raspberry

Tweak

Acts like a Ler just like kwazii but is actually mostly a switch. 60% Ler and 40% Lee

Likes to compete with kwazii when playing games, but she also likes to team up with Dashi to tickle the others occasionally (including kwazii) 𑄝੭

Has built several machines that helped her hold someone while tickling them, and actual tickle machines too (she's never too mean about it tho) ✌︎︎

She also gets tickled quite frequently by Dashi or her Father whenever she's stressed or needs a pick me up, but the other octonauts help out too .♡ ݁˖

She too gets very embarrassed when tickled and will hide with her rabbit ears by moving and/ or pulling them down across her face ˶>˶<˶

Her laugh is contagious and bubbly, and it rises in pitch depending on how hard you tickle her (don't tickle too hard please)

And her worst spots are her Underarms and sides, but if you wanna hear her snort then you have to go for her thighs

Professor Inkling

Despite his usually calm and gentle nature, this octopus is very playful. 90% Ler and 10% Lee

He's not one to roughhouse usually, but he's not above participating in a tickle fight from time to time if he's feeling particularly playful~

He's very competitive when it comes to games, and a tickle fight is no different as he uses all his arms to his unfair advantage ( - ᴗ •́ )

Loves to poke and prod at the others tickle spots wich he keeps note of in a small notebook, making sure he doesn't forget his discoveries from over the years

He gets very embarrassed when someone tries tickling him and actually succeeds though, but he enjoys the play time

The other octonauts know to be very gentle with their tickling, and to not overdo it and accidentally overwhelm him

His laugh is soft and nice to listen to while it lasts, and he has the tendency to coil one or two tentacles around his attacker out of habit as he lets himself get tickled

Paani

A very joyful and energetic switch. 50% Lee and Ler

Usually doesn't start tickle fights but loves to engage in them with the other Octonauts and Octoagents

He doesn't usually tease while tickling someone, but he does give flustering compliments and side facts about water without even realizing it ☔︎︎

He's a real giggle bug when tickling others or getting tickled, and he's having fun regardless on wich receiving end of the fun he is ⋆˙☆.*

Though if you actively challenge him then he'll definitely get more into it and use his tail to tickle someone too!

He's got a silly game too that he likes to play, especially with the junior octoagents where he pretends his hands are tickly spiders crawling on you (kwazii is especially effected by this game) 𖢥

His laugh is really giggly and bubbly, and he becomes especially loud when you get his tummy. He switches between curling up or squirming around when tickled but never really tries to escape ꨄ︎

Tracker

A wholesome little cutie just like Peso and shellington, except for the fact he isn't a complete sweet bean and is actually quite playful. 70% Ler 30% Lee

He likes to cheer his fellow octoagents up via tickling and praise, making sure everyone's happy

And he'll engage in a playful chase too if his victim runs away, before scooping them up into a bear hug to give them raspberries and/ or playful nibbles

He's being gentle tho and knows not to be too rough, even letting his victim get revenge after they calmed down again

If he's the victim he'll squirm a lot and flail, wich is why it's best to fetch a friend to pin him down while wrecking this beanie

He's got a really boyish laugh and isn't ashamed of it, he laughs openly and happily without a care in the world

His worst spots are his Neck and Belly, and surprisingly enough his hands are pretty sensitive too

Calico Jack

A mischievous Ler through and through wich is the total opposite of kwazii... or is he? 70% Ler and 30% Lee

He's a total Tickle Monster when it comes to the younger crew members, being all playful and energetic despite his old age

He loves to laugh and play quite a lot, and he enjoys playing with his beloved grandson more than anything via tickling kwazii to death every chance he gets

When it comes to the older members tho... I like to imagine Ranger marsh, Calico Jack and Natquik being a bestie trio... and the most capable in ganging up on Calico jack whenever he's up to no good to keep him in check ❁

A very competitive bundle of energy that pounces on anyone like his life depends on it, before scribbling his deadly claws everywhere he can reach!

Though the same method works perfectly on himself also, making him shriek and flail while giggling and cackling (He definitely needs to be held down if you don't wanna be kicked accidentally)

His whole upper body is a real good spot, but his hips work like a charm if you squeeze them epeatedly without mercy to drive him into hysterics 𓉸ྀི

Professor Natquik

Despite acting aloof and calm, he's a sneaky predator just like Dashi. 90% Ler and 10% Lee

He usually acts as the voice of reason in the group and keeps Calico jack in check, giving that mischievous pirate a taste of his own medicine ;)

Stealthy sneak attacks are his main strategy against his victims with how quiet he can be. A good hunt is always fun

He loves using his dull claws as tickle tools, and occasionally his tail if his Lee isn't wearing any shoes ⸙

But he's a tough nut that doesn't crack easily when he's the victim. It takes both his friends or several octonauts to take him down (but with lots of effort considering how good his hearing is)

He switches pretty early into Russian if you do manage to break him, wich is accompanied by wild but quiet giggles

His ears are his worst spots for gentle tickling (but always be gentle with those) while his armpits serve as a more safe option for tickles to not accidentally hurt him, but also make him loose it ⋆˚꩜｡

Ranger Marsh

A playful but mischievous switch, especially with Tweak. 60% Ler and 40% Lee

He loves to tickle his little girl whenever she's stressed or just because, he's a real softie for her... a mischievous softie

He also enjoys giving out teasing tickles to the troublemakers in his turf whenever they're up to no good ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ

But he's not immune either and gets his fair share of tickles from Calico jack and tweak, the latter girl being out for payback because of her younger days

Sulking is a no-go though, he's a good sport even after loosing. He's proud his daughter turned out strong and confident

His laugh is gruff but warm in a fatherly way... wich he is. He also does the same thing Tweak does with her ears, pulling them down to cover his face while blushing madly and squirming around

His Armpits and Knees are major tickle spots for him, along with his Neck. He snorts too when you get him good, a fact both Natquik and Calico Jack love to tease him about (he doesn't mind too much tho, it's all in good fun after all^^)

As promised @gigglygoob, here are the HCs

(Pov: Wren)

"Good morning, Wren! I see you're up earlier than the others."  Barnacles greets me with a smile and pats my head while drinking some hot chocolate.

“I’m just an early bird I guess..” I chuckle gently while blushing in mild embarrassment as my ears lower.

"I see. Well, you are a wolf, which are nocturnal creatures. A wolf would need to be up early, to be able to hunt. But of course, you're not a hunter. You're just an adorable, fluffy wolf."  He says, his voice as gentle as usual. He was a big softie at heart, which was a great contrast to his larger stature. Barnacles was still caressing me, he just wanted to make sure I felt comfy and safe on my first day on the Octopod I think… and he was a rather touchy person by nature.

I give a little whine in embarrassment, but I still enjoy his petting and caressing nonetheless while I continue blushing

“I know we’ve known one another for a few years now, but I’m still a bit nervous on how the next few months will go now that I’m living with you all here.. living together is completely different than just meeting up every now and then for missions...” I admit gently with a soft sigh

"I see. I understand it's all very new to you, but don't be so hard on yourself. I assure you, you're not the only one that's feeling a bit anxious. I remember when we all first met, it was a little awkward but, as the missions went on, we got to know each-other and we all became like a family”  He said, his voice low and gentle. He smiles down at me, his expression warm and reassuring. He was trying his best to make sure that I felt like I was part of the Octopod family.

“How about we play a question game to keep your mind off of all your worries, and to get to know one another even better?” He looks down at my smaller form with a gentle smile, still petting me while already thinking of some questions he could ask me.

 "Okay…"  I say, smiling softly while not minding the petting

"Hmm… what's your favorite color?" He finally asks me, his head slightly tilted like a curious puppy.

“Blue. I really like the spectrum~” I chuckle as I duck my head down and scrunch up my shoulders once he starts caressing my ears, making me giggle “ah! it tickles!”

He stopped caressing briefly after I exclaimed that he’s tickling me, his eyes widening in slight surprise. 

"O-oh, you're ticklish?" He asks, a bit of a smile starting to form in the corners of his mouth, a mischievous idea popping into his head that’ll definitely make me less tense.

"How ticklish~?" He asks playfully, his paws now hovering in the air, ready to attack.

I yelp and move back, already starting to giggle nervously once I see him tower over me “not that ticklish..?”

"You're not a good liar, you know that~?”  He says, his smile now a wide, almost devilish, grin. He began to approach me, his hands up, ready to tickle me silly.

"I'll find out just how ticklish you are~"

“Ahhh! No, get away~!” I screech out and quickly make a run for it, giggling all the way down the hall

My Captain immediately started chasing after me, his eyes were now filled with child-like, playful glee. “Come back here~! I'm the captain, you have to do as I say~!” He yelled teasingly, as he was slowly catching up to me.

“Wh-!? that’s not fair, you can’t play the captain card~!” I yell back with a chuckle as I try to stay ahead.

"I can do what I want, I'm the captain~!” Barnacles replied, a wide childish grin on his face. He was in a very playful mood now, and he wouldn’t stop at nothing to catch me!  "You're almost in my reach~!”

“Nohoho~!” I laugh in panic while running as fast as I can, but I unfortunately end up in his grasp anyway once he manages to scoop me up into his arms  “damn it!”

Barnacles was now holding me in his arms, a proud, 'I-got-the-target' kind of expression on his face. "I got you, you can't escape me now~!” He says before he starts to tickle me, his large paws moving over my sides and under my arms.

I squeak before I start giggling as he starts exploring my sensitive little body, making me squirm in his hold “wait Wahahait noho fair~!”

"Nuh-uh, you're not going anywhere~" He said, in a very cheeky tone. Barnacles' paws moved over to my stomach, as he was determined to make me laugh "I'm not letting you go until you're a laughing mess~”

“Noohohahaha-!” I squeak again as he sits down and puts me in his lap, starting to experiment to find my most ticklish spot while I’m already a giggly mess.

"Ooh, is someone a little ticklish~?” The polar bear says in a teasing voice. He was still trying to find the most ticklish spots on my body, his large paws were tickling my thighs now, his paws squeezing and slightly digging into my skin in a non-hurtful way.

"Come on, let's hear that laugh of yours~" He coaxes, his other paw now tickling my ribs.

“Nooo~!” I shake my head in denial as I cover my mouth while growing weak from his coaxing, which was a mean trick.

"I will find it sooner or later..~" He whispered teasingly into my ear with a wide smirk on his face. “I will find what spot makes you lose your mind the most~" His paws were now on both my knees, squeezing relentlessly as he was determined to find my sweet spot and make me laugh.

Lo and behold, I finally start laughing gently while snorting once he goes for my knees, making me kick my legs out and cover my face with both hands in embarrassment “captain~! Hahahahaha~!” I squeal as I blush madly. It wasn’t my most ticklish spot, but it was dangerously close.

"Aww, you're finally laughing, this is great. but, I still want to find your sweet spot~" He said, and now he was wiggling the tips of his fingers into my hipbones, his other hand going behind my back to wiggle in the area between my ribs and my spine.

That does it as I suddenly screech loudly before I break out into hysterical and contagious cackling once he goes for my hips, making me arch my back as I curl up and scrunch up my nose and squeeze my eyes shut  “BARNACLES~!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA~!!!”

Barnacles' eyes widened slightly, realizing that he had finally found the most ticklish spot on my body, he had found my sweet spot  “Haha~! There we go~!”  My captain laughs and he begins to mercilessly tickle me in that specific spot, determined to tickle me silly.

“OH GOD, NOT THERE~!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAH~!!” I squeal out in delight and playful panic

"This spot makes you go crazy, doesn't it~?" He asks teasingly, with a bright smile on his face. He then leans over and blows a raspberry onto my neck, as his paws were still tickling my poor hips.

"I think you're even more ticklish than me~!" He laughs gently and continues his tickle ‘torture’, enjoying every squeal and cackle he can tickle out of me

“HAHAHAHAH~!! MERCY, PLEASE~!!! HAHAHAHA~!!! NO MORE~!!” I screech out as I trash around in his lap and try shoving at his chest and face, my tail wagging like crazy. 

"Alright, alright~! You can calm down now, I'm done with you~" Barnacles finally relents on his tickle ‘torture’, but he still keeps me snuggly in his arms while smilling down at me.

I’m a giggling and panting mess at this point, tears in my eyes as I lay limply on his lap “y-you’re... relentless…~”

Barnacles chuckles a bit, seeing me so breathless and laughing was quite entertaining to him. "I'm not mean, I prefer the term playful. Besides, you had fun, didn't you~?" He says while gesturing to my wagging tail, smiling at me as he pats my head once again.

I blush some more while my ears lower again in embarrassment once he starts with the petting all over again, my tail still wagging from all the attention and affection “M-Maybe a little bit..~”

Barnacles notices how I lower your ears again and how I’m blushing. He always noticed the little things, the small details. He chuckles, and pats my head even more now, running his paws through my fur

"You definitely had fun. You're blushing so red, you know…~" He teases softly, his expression gentle and fond

I just lean my head against his chest and focus on my breathing, not having the energy to try denying his claims anymore while he lets me rest, even pulling me closer to himself in a nice and comfortable hug. 

He continued caressing me silently, just enjoying the comfortable moment, while smiling down at me

“I don’t mind you doing this again to be honest.. but please don’t tease me too much in the future is all I’m asking..~” I chuckle gently while being a complete flustered and blushing mess

Barnacles smiled excitedly as he spoke "Oh, you don't mind it if I tickle you in the Future~?” He asks and then chuckles a bit with a mischievous undertone. He definitely had a few plans for future tickle fights now that he knew how ticklish I am and that I enjoy being tickled. "But alright, I promise not to tease you too much in the future, my friend~"

“Thank you…” I say gently and gratefully as I look up at him with a soft expression “-and thank you for relieving me of my earlier nervousness, Captain... I’m definitely not nervous anymore about living here...~”

Barnacles looked down at me as well, his eyes softening again "You're welcome, Wren. We're all like family here, and I promise we'll take good care of you. You're safe with us." He says, squeezing me closer. The bear was genuinely just happy to have me here it seems.

“Hmmm…~” I hum gently as I enjoy and return the hug “there’s one thing though…~” I say gently while my tone gets slightly mischievous

Barnacles noticed the change in my tone, that mischievous undertone, raising an eyebrow slightly "Hm? What is it?” He asks, intrigued and curious as a soft smile spreads across his face.

“I couldn’t help but notice that you said earlier that "You're much more ticklish than me"... which I find quite interesting~” I chuckle teasingly as I give him a cheeky look  “I think I’ll need to check that for myself, no~?”

Barnacles' eyes widened as he gave a surprised noise, which was soon followed by rich and deep belly laughs that rang through the octopod as I gave him a dose of his own medicine, giving the others who heard his laughter a sweeter start into the day.
