Number 1: Fullmetal Alchemist
Great art, amazing story and characters, I wouldnβt change anything about it. And the Anime is amazing as well.Β
I just love the art-style and the whole setting, the story is pretty minimalist but that only makes it more intriguing to me.
Number 3:Β Yokohama Kaidashi Kiko
One of the calmest and most relaxing manga Iβve ever read and I frequently come back to it.Β
Seeing the protagonist going from some violent edgelord to one of the most gentle and kind characters imaginable is a journey everyone should experience.
I have never seen so many charming characters in a single mangaβ¦ especially not in a manga as violent as this oneβ¦ the explicit content warning ainβt no joke.Β
Number 6: Land of the Lustrous
Everything about this manga is soβ¦ unique. From the setting to the art style. Also: great anime that is quite unique as well and has a great soundtrack.Β
At first glance Gangsta is just a violent and depressing manga but if you take a closer look youβll find that itβs deeper far more nuanced than you might expect.Β
Number 8:Β The Girl From the Other Side: SiΓΊil, a RΓΊn
An art-style unlike anything Iβve ever seen in manga and a gripping story,
definitely worth the read.
Number 9: Girlsβ Last TourΒ
YouβdΒ be forgiven thinking this is something along the lines of Girls and Panzerβ¦ instead you get one of the most fundamentally hopeless manga ever written, and yet itβs overall not a sad manga. (this oneβs anime also has a very nice soundtrack)Β
Number 10:Β Witch Hat Atelier
This one would probably be higher on the list if the story was a bit further along. As it stands right now the story is promising and certainly pretty good but itβs still very much at theΒ beginning. But the art, good lord the art. The breathtaking art-style alone makes it a joy to read this manga.Β
