I dont super ship them in the conventional romantic way, because I hit xiao yueqing with the aroace beam, but qpr moonling is real to me... also thinking about asymmetric relationship where lin ling does have his crush on her and it never really does fade but he respects that she doesn't view him in that way and is honestly just very stoked that she even wants to hang around him period

Lin ling who is just an absolute gentleman but also very blushy and after that first vacation of hers (xyq lives au btw) she does live with lin ling in hero tower for a tiny bit for some Needed Social Interaction (would people still think she's dead? idk for now let's say they still think she died at the wedding) before she's like "alright lemme have proper vacation again" and dips for a week or two

And during that time she gets to reflect on her own feelings cause she knows she's aro but she does like being around lin ling and she gets to properly sort out which actions she doesn't like period and which she didn't like solely because she had to do them with nice

She comes back and chills with him and one day she abruptly goes "you're allowed to hold my hand if you really want to" while not looking at him and he's like "are you sure?" and she just offers her hand still not looking at him and he then happily takes it

Some aspects of physical affection do ramp up (handholding on the couch while theyre both on their phones, not so much cuddling though) and lin ling always asks for permission every time

They're both incredible at chore splitting and things are so peaceful but also lively and there's like some very minor sweet thing he does that's realistically basic (something like her period comes and it's supposed to be her day to cook but instead he orders takeout of her favorite meal like super simple) and she gives him a kiss on the cheek and that becomes a rare thing she does whenever she's extra happy
