I dunno if I'm wording this right, but I just had two people cut me off because I'm too blunt and rude, when they've never expressed at any point that the way I've acted came across as that.

In fact I thought our friendships were going pretty well until one of them cut me off with little explanation and then the other cut me off two months later with a big message about how I'm too blunt and rude and that I need to try to be happier because my depression makes me, 'too negative'.

I relied on them communicating their problems verbally to understand our boundaries and respect them, but it seems like over and over again my boundaries have been trampled and passed over so they could make fun of my ed, my mental health, and my family situation.

I've told them multiple times they need to verbalize things for me to understand, and I get that's hard, and I get that can be frustrating, but it's even more frustrating to have all these things dumped on me and our friendships suddenly ended.

It's even more frustrating when I've asked them multiple times if they've had a problem with me and their response has always been a very firm, 'No'.

If you tell me no, I'm going to assume we're okay, if you tell me nothing is wrong then I'm going to take your word.

I guess the point of me writing all of this is that I feel like neuro-typical people lack the understanding a lot of them time that autistic people don't always understand or look deeper into social situations, that communication is especially important for us because we can't always tell when there's a problem.
