This is smth I drew shortly after the first concept! I was thinking of the manipulation route after Desmond told Milo to keep away from Eris

I also wrote this !!! this is their true ending sort of. I kind of rushed it tbh.

i was trying to make it more clear what kind of dynamic with Milo that they wanted. Sure they want a perfect love... but not the same way Eris does.

In a way, they're much more selfish. Asking for so much while expecting to give so little. Even if they try to follow what is considered moral, their desired partner was specifically supposed to sit OUTSIDE of these morals standards. Where they can be as unfeeling as they really are, and their lover can be as fucked up as they are too.

around this time, I've picked a name for them! Cherish! (And yes, I've been currently modding Perfect Love to have Cherish instead of Eris, as a self-pitying evil protagonist! When I'm satisfied with my dialogue, I'll be share officially publicly share it :3 )

+Bonus Cherish fanart by @accidentinthehead!! I loved it sm and i looove the idea that they also have cherries as part of their theme!!! It really goes well with their sweet persona, and also it just sounds fun. So, I'm keeping it! I needed a color to assign them anyway-

This is a bit of a while after the previous drawings bc the past days I've been hit with exams and also I just wanted to spend all my time coding the mod or drawing Orin(my other oc) instead of Cherish LOL

I decided to try and redesign Cherish to implement the cherry themes, maybe try to remove the octopus theme I had with them at the start, and explore other motifs to use on their design (nuns, goats, More Cherries)

It was also during this I decided that pseudo religious themes is sort of a part of their motif. After all, they canonically were created with a piece of a divine deity, they themself dont feel human bc of their lack of feeling, they're looking for a love that transcends humamity/normalcy just like themself, and-

rather than trying to manipulate Milo into giving the perfect love, they had already believed strongly that he had potential to give that perfect love. Only him, and nobody else in the world. They genuinely believe they are destined for one another.

Something like that....

anyways. I think it might've just been bc it got so late at night, I didn't lime anything I made. So I decided to sleep on it

the next morning (this morning) I woke up to @accidentinthehead sending ANOTHER peak headcanon art suggestion whatever

I decided to draw some Cherishes with her art as an example

And while I was at it, I've decided to keep Cherish's octopus themes and softer flatter looking eyes! I think it fits their apathy and uncaring true nature much better

I made their hair shorter so it's cuter, gave them those nice big bottom hair vents because Fun, and decided to incorporate their cherry theme a little literally with a cherry hairclip!

A little last ramble:

I think, what if, their octopus themes are their true nature. The octopus theme is supposed to be more about eldritch. They don't feel human feelings, they are different, they are cold, they are more and less than everyone else

And what if the cherry theming is what they're TRYING to be, what they WANT to be. Sweet, bright, full of very human feelings!! so human!!!

What if it can also go well with them feeling 'love' for the first time, towards milo. They've dated many before... but they've never felt anything, nor cared to have them stay. But Milo? It's unexplainable.. but they WANT him, NEED him, Unlike anyone else. Only he can give them what they craved, and only rhey can give him what he craved....
