THE MOMENT — that the world froze as y/n looked upon their beloved hunter against that wooden pole and noticed he was catching his breath. his green irises flickered towards them as he called for both sam and y/n to hold on a moment.

y/n knew in that moment what was going on. they had seen it too many times in their lifetime, even outside of the winchester brothers, to know. poor sam was just barely catching on before dean placed a loving hand upon his younger brother’s own shoulder as y/n stepped closer.

“seems like i’ll never be getting those twenty bucks you owe me, huh?” y/n joked as they tried to keep their eyes from welling up with tears as they watched both men start to cry at the moment while dean tried to keep himself upright, balancing himself off of sam. “really sorry about that sweetheart,” dean’s breath caught for a moment as he grinned as big as he could manage, “maybe sammy will give you them.”

“i can’t do this without you.” sam spoke as the tears streamed down his cheeks and he gasped for breath, causing dean to smile and reassure him. “you can.” that caused y/n to sniffle and sigh as the tears finally broke free and slid down their own cheeks. “yeah well… i don’t want to.” sam replied and y/n found their own self grabbing both of their boys hands to try to comfort the pair.

“baby. . .” the eldest winchester had begun as he glanced over at his beloved. “i know this is a lot to put on you but promise me besides yourself that you’ll take care of sammy and baby? as the three of you are my legacy.” y/n let a sadden grin crawling upon their face as they leaned close to press a gentle kiss upon his lips for the final time. they leaned after dean and laid gently across him as he fell forward to hug his brother one last time. sam was quick to wrap his arms around the couple for once last joint group hug.

a gasp erupted from behind y/n’s lips as they had woken up in a familiar location, one that they held as their favorite spot with anakin. the one right by the lake on their home planet, which they missed dearly as it was one of the first few planets that the deathstar had completely obliterated in the beginning of the empire run by darth vader.

they ran their hand across the soft yet sharp blades of grass as their (e/c) irises stared ahead at the crystal blue water ahead of them with a small blissful grin upon their face. unbeknownst to them, a dark figure was slowly creeping up behind them, a smirk written across the figure’s face. similar to a predator catching their prey.

“you know, i asked him not to destroy this place but he just didn’t want to listen.” the voice reached out towards y/n and their body stood still at the realization of who was behind them. tears threatened to well up in their eyes as they were mentally trying to process the fact that anakin was behind them, as they prayed that it wasn’t just a simple hallucination. yet another trick.

“oh come on, my darling, you’re not going to turn around and look at me?” the voice snapped y/n out of their frozen stance and a grin etched itself upon their lips as they slowly turned around. a small bit of happy laughter escaped from their lips as they saw the dirty blond haired man who was staring back with the same maddening grin.

“oh ani, my love, is that really you?” they had questioned to ensure it wasn’t just another hallucination created by their mind who had deeply missed him. “do you really need to ask that?” the former jedi had replied with a cheeky grin etched upon his face as he stepped closer.

THE CABIN — stood tall in the woods surrounded by the mixture of dead trees and lively ones, as the sun fell down from the sky into a near maroon shade as night was slowly creeping upon the area. it looked as hell consuming as it did the very last time that ash williams had come to greet his old terror filled friend.

there was wind everywhere else inside of the woods except for the surrounding area near the wooden architecture and it made a chill run up the brunet’s back as his deep brown irises peered at the rickety old front door with a heavy familiar feeling upon his chest. said feeling made his heart slow and his body ache while his brain was reeling in the knowledge of what must come next.

no, he did not want to do this and if he had it his way, it would be him instead. not the one who he finally could find his true happiness in and someone he could truly give his full self to, only for the main reasons why he never revealed himself to others, prior to this someone, to come back full force and take away his favorite person.

the front steps creaked and groaned underneath his boots as he walked upon them as he pushed the rickety door open with the top of the shotgun in his hand. the air felt thick with loss as brown irises peered around the cabin and noticed dried blood of his previous loved ones that was dried upon the wood. out of the corner of his eye just as the sun fell down further into dusk and almost dark, he found a fresh line of blood leading towards the ancient kitchen and he felt his heart stop for a moment.

it appeared like the individual where the blood came from had been dragged and ash could feel his heartbeat getting faster and faster as he slowly crept towards the kitchen. flashes echoed through his mind as he took each step and his brown irises watched the blood trail getting thicker and denser. ash silently gulped as the sky continued to fall into darkness before he heard a familiar voice call out to him.

“ash. . .” a weak voice called out from the area of which he was going and he paused his steps for a singular moment. Hesitation filled his mind before he shook it away and sighed deeply to himself as he knew how to play the game that was about to be laid out. a seemingly never ending chess game that always interloped with the next round, one merry-go-round that never allowed you to get off and left ash williams permanently haunted. It would never let him give peace a true chance, always at the ready to tear him apart.

“sweetheart.” ash managed in a steady tone with a hint of sweetness etched in as his irises fell upon the beaten and bloodied body of his beloved. “hi baby. . .” the voice weakly called out a proper greeting towards him as blood trailed from their mouth as their eyes were filled with such sorrow and it made ash nearly crumble onto his knees from seeing the sight of them barely holding on, solely based upon the harrowing sound coming from their chest as it hardly moved.

“i’m so sorry, i never wanted this to happen. i never wanted it to be you. i always thought this is it, you know? my final one who could bring me all the peace and happiness that cheryl once told me that i deserved. but now these fuck-uglies took you away from me and i could never apologize enough to you.” the words came out like water running down the cliff and he couldn’t stop the tears from welling up in his brown irises, even after he had so many losses and experiences with the damned creatures.

a loud screech erupted from the body belonging to his beloved upon the ground as the body soon raised up with clunky motions before the loud echo of a shotgun being cocked had filled the air.

“til we meet again, sweetheart.” the male called out in a soft adoring tone before he aimed and took his shot as the body of his beloved jumped at him. the body fell limp with a loud thump across the wooden ground while the blown apart head rolled away from his beloved and ash felt his heart truly stop as he peered down at his partially dismembered partner, as he reached over to his right arm and started up his chainsaw.

THE FAMILIAR — slithering sound echoed throughout the wooden floorboards as y/n sat on top of her comfy mattress and slipped on her favorite shoes after she had gotten herself ready for the day. a giggle escaped past her lips as she felt the familiar heavy weight go across her covered feet as her e/c irises peered down upon the black and white sandworm.

“hey there buddy!” she called out with a soft grin upon her face before she continued talking to the sandworm, “it’s been awhile since i’ve seen ya. you wanna tell me what happened to you?” she questioned out loud as she gently moved the sandworm off of her shoe and walked over to her closet to figure out what jacket or hoodie would feel the most comfortable with the outfit she had previously chosen.

“i’d choose the black and white stripe one, toots.” an unfamiliar voice called out with a giggle following after it as the owner realized that the woman had frozen in her place. “i’m just hearing things.” she muttered to herself as she stared at the black and white hoodie with a small grin, subconsciously agreeing with the voice that she heard and slipped it on.

she spun around on her heel with a big grin, ready to show her little sandworm friend that she’s had since she was a child that they were matching only to turn around to see a ghoulish looking man in front of her.

a gasp escaped past her lips as they made eye contact and a piece within her felt strangely at home. “well, i damn near got myself hitched to come into the mortal world but thank hell i didn’t.” the man licked his palm and slicked his chaotic yet fluffy hair back as a grin etched itself onto his face.

“didn’t realize i was destined to be with such a babe!” the man bellowed with a giggle as he began to prance around her bedroom to get a better look than he did before. “excuse me- sir, what?” y/n asked with curiosity and confusion in her tone as she watched the man inspecting her bedroom that she’s had since she was a mere child.

“oh come on now, babe, isn’t it obvious? you got yourself universally attached to one hell of a ghoul, one of the most eligible ghouls.” the green haired male boasted as he stepped closer to her and slid his hands around her waist. her e/c irises locked onto his jacket and realization dawned upon her.

“the sandworm! you’re the fucking sandworm!” y/n nearly screamed as she realized and playfully hit his chest causing him to laugh at his destined one’s actions. “my entire life and you sat there not saying a damn word to me, making me think i was crazy at times when i was talking to a goddamn sandworm!”

the ghoul had laughed once more and brought his hands up to cup her face with a large grin upon his own. “babe, i’m the only one that can call you crazy? and i’m crazier than you.”
