school is finally out, and i realized i really don't do much (even if i barely go to school). i've become super broke thanks to the abundance of trips i take, so i recently got a job at a psychic type-centric café as a baker. it's pretty cute, i know i totally dogged on some stores for having pokémon employees, but my coworkers are all so cute! i'm not gonna lie though, i think a huge part of the reason our store is so popular is because people like watching cute pokémon struggle to get them their order.

friend of mine recently dropped off their snorlax with me to pokésit while they toured unova. i was prepared for the whole thing. bought more pokéfood than i could possibly imagine, did very minimal research on how to care for a snorlax. what i wasn't prepared for, however, was when i had asked when they would be coming back for the snorlax and they had simply replied "you can have him."

so here i am. on the first couple days i've found myself waiting a few hours for the bathroom to be available (not that anyone was in it, i live mostly alone, snorlax just had cleverly decided his napping spot was going to he in front of the restroom.) something that trainer blogs do not tell you; snorlaxes are super great napping partners! he loves to sleep, and doesn't mind if you lay on his massive belly for a snooze of your own.

on the downside, i had not planned on owning a snorlax. my house isn't really big-mon friendly, which is really disappointing. i don't think he minds though. he's taken a liking towards sleeping next to (not on) the couch in my living room.

i think i'll name him wilbur. do you think it sounds fitting?

Sorry for the radio silence all day. Mother’s Day wasn’t great. I guess it could’ve gone worse, but it still wasn’t great. Hanging out with my mom is always so awkward. We don’t talk. We just stand in the same place doing our own thing. We don’t send our Pokemon out, either. I was itching to spend time with them, but I guess that would make things worse. And dinner was even more awkward. Anyways, I’m going home now! I’m so glad to be going home!!

OK, once I get out of Twist Mountain. I think it’s going to be past midnight when I get home, but I’m going straight to bed once I do. I’m just exhausted. And I have to go to work tomorrow!!! Ugh!!! I wish I could sleep in!

sometimes mothers days are like that. don't ever think you can't find motherly compassion in non-motherly beings though. i spent my mothers day with my pokémon and that was enough for me.

i've thought about getting into pokemon research like that but i'm not smart enough for it, haha :]

(p.s. you get more used to your pokémon's attacks overtime. i reccomend asking them to attack you in smaller increments so your body gets used to it!! don't go overboard tho pls)

Well, I think I said it before but, Professor Elm was one of the main reasons I started to research pokemons on my own. He was like a dad to me for my entire childhood and I always had a lot of fun when I went to help him with his projects.

Also, watching pokemon interacting with each other in the wild is just amazing. From the societies they create to the insane battles some pokemon tend to do, everything is just incredible.

Are legendary Pokémon real? No, seriously. I’ve never seen one of those guys in my life but people on Rotomblr will make posts like “Do you think Arceus will let me keep it in my apartment” completely straight-faced and I’m genuinely questioning if I just live a really boring life

Very complicated. Some are absolutely real, like the great beasts of Johto. I have also heard that the twin dragons of Unova also played a very undeniable part in a disaster a few years back. Others, like Arceus, are... shaky, at best.

People lie often online. I ignore it. There is not a chance any normal person could own a legendary so easily, and that is not even considering the fact only one individual exists for most 'species'.

I do not mind lying on the internet as long as it does not hurt anyone. i do not tolerate disrespect of the great beasts or Ho-oh and I do not tolerate misinformation. Name withheld.

some people would say the relic stone up in agate. theyre wrong. dont go there. the people in agate are fucking weird.

something to keep in mind is that all the cool stuff in this region is full of gangs. big boat in the desert? gangs. weird crater full of sludge? gangs. abandoned mansion? you best believe theres gangs.

most people that go here on vacation start at the port, get mugged, and then do the smart thing and go home. theres a restaurant shaped like a krabby. the food is only ok. you will get mugged.

get the cajun fries.

It was Deerling, who is now my Sawsbuck Clover! I guess the first Pokemon you caught was Eevee, right?

My very first Pokemon was actually a Pansage my mom gave me, but I don't have it anymore. Team Plasma stole it when I was a kid. On the topic of Team Plasma, I saw a Team Plasma blog yesterday! How are they on this site?!?! That team should've died years ago!!!

i had a great day !! spent a good portion giving my vaporeon a bath. despite being a pokemon of water, they can get super dirty.

apparently, sinnoh was the first region to be created by arceus. i'm not sure how much of that i believe, though.
