It took me a couple of tries to find designs that I felt suited the characters (even now I’m still nitpicking 💔) but keep in mind that the SC are toys, so the design possibilities are really endless!

What I did was reference old cartoons and old toys, and then just combined them into the designs I have now. I think taking the personalities of each character into consideration is also very important when designing them, hence why a lot of designs for Catnap tend to have him in pajamas (just to name one example)

I was just doodling ppt characters one evening, and i ended up drawing picky and bunzo on the same page

then i was like,,,wait a minute,,, they look kinda good together

and boom
