When you asked me on a late night donut run, not even knowing that I had the worst day ever or that you had also had too much on your mind, and we talked and we vented and while I was sitting there across from you I knew. Like I always have. That I am undeniably in love with you. And It feels safe and it feels cozy just like the glow of the yellow lights in the 24 hour donut shop as we sip our strawberry milk and laugh at inside jokes. And I know here and now I will carry this night with me forever. Not because it was earth shattering and ground breaking but because it wasn’t. Because when I’m with you even the most inconsequential and seemingly mundane moments are filled with magic.
