💧🌳🦫 Beaver reintroduction is helping to fight climate change in Britain!

Beavers had been hunted to extinction in the country more than 400 years ago, but in 2023, conservationists got the green light to relocate a family of beavers to a London park. Within a matter of weeks, the beavers dammed the park’s creek, helping flood resilience and creating a wetland environment to absorb heavy rain — they’ve even aided biodiversity by opening up tree canopy, enticing other species such as birds, shrimp, and butterflies back to the creek!
