“So,” Gus sets the pint down in front of him and clears his throat. “Do you want to come back to mine?” Niall catches the glint of hope twinkle in Gus' eyes.

Niall averts his eyes in favour of the carpet at his feet. He thinks for a few seconds, wringing his hands together under the table.

Niall starts, “Gus-- I don't know...” When he looks up, he's met with warm hands on his and Gus leaning forward.

“Look- I know I was a dick to you in school, Niall, but I'd like to make it up to you,” Gus wets his lips, and then smiles. “O-only if you'd like.”

Leaning back, Niall ponders once more. What is there to lose? He hasn't been laid in a little while and it would get his mind off his work. Niall's agreement comes out quicker than he'd like, in the form of an exhale,

“Sure.”

Niall watches as Gus nods, squeezing Niall's hands before quietly saying, “Let's leave.”
