Hi, I'm a German teen and I have been writing for a while now. I have written short stories and some fan fictions which are also on this platform. I love to write, and I started the side quest to write a book, with the Title Loved by death. I have Plot, Characters, all planned out, and I just finished the first chapter, but I'm questioning if anyone would actually read it, so I'm asking the people on here if they would.
So plot: The Main character, Melanthe (Meaning Dark flower by the way) Sallis, is a normal High school senior, who lives with her best friend Nisha, and works at a Bookstore to get some extra money. But as her Grandmother dies one day, she realizes she can see something nobody outside her knowledge can see, She can see the Greek Gods.
The story would be a romance between the Greek God Thanatos and the Main character Melanthe. It would be in a more modern setting, with some of the Gods having businesses or clubs just unknown to mortals. I do want to write Enemies to lovers with a bit of forbidden Love maybe since you know Death god and everything, but I'm not sure. Now to the important question, would you read it or no. And regardless of answer, why ? I'm going to put the PROLOG after the cut if you want a read of my writing style. I would be thankful for every review, don't care if bad or good, and if I get enough reviews I would start to post some updates on the book. Thank you for reading.
It started on the one day I will never forget. The day my grandmother died.
I was sitting in the living room, my grandpa sitting on the sofa while I sat in the big chair with a look at the front door I heard my sister upstairs watching videos, and my Grandmother was ironing clothes in the bedroom. A normal day at my Grandparents house, this is the one place I can let go. Well it was normal till a man stepped into the house, he was tall extremely skinny or his hands were. The rest of his body was covered in a suit, a full black suit. Maybe that’s why his skin looked so white, he nearly had similarity with a skeleton
“Excuse me, who are you ?”
I asked him, I didn’t know my grandparents had planned in any visitors, and they normally don’t when my sister and I stay at their place.
There was no answer.
“Sir, hey I asked who you were” I repeated, he didn’t even seem to acknowledge me he just started to walk up the stairs.
“Hey, what are you doing ? Where do you think you’re going, sir ?” I look at him as he walks up the stairs, for some reason I didn’t hear my grandpa ask who I am talking to, I stood up and followed the man up the stairs. Up I only saw him entering my grandmas room, where just moments before she was ironing clothes.
At this point, I wished I realized that what I saw was just that, something only I could see.
Inside the room laid my grandmother, the Iron standing on the board with the clothing, plugged out, she laid in bed the man standing before it.
Something I still highly believe I dreamed was, seeing a reflection? Ghost? It was in some way my grandmother, but it was not her at all.
My Grandmother laid dead in her bed while that man just stood there, that thing looking like her, in front of him. They most of heard me choke on my breath because they both turned to me, my grandmother with a soft smile and him, he, looked at me like I was crazy. His eyes open wide, his brows frowned.
They disappeared just moments after to be honest I don’t know if it was that or me passing out, because I realized I could see death, the god of death to be exact. I could see Thanatos

Soap woke up with a soreness through his whole body, not a bad one, this was a good one, a really good one. He remembered what happened last night, the heated kisses and the mating bite he now had on his neck. He looked at Simon, who wore a similar on his neck. They didn't need to try again, after Johnny shown since of pregnancy the swam up to ask Price and Laswell for a check-up and Johnny was indeed Pregnant, everybody congratulated them, Ghost was so happy, the only thing problematic was his overprotectiveness, didn't let anybody too close to Johnny anymore, normally Johnny would not mind he liked the attention, but it became problematic when it was time for the pups to come, he would not let anybody near Johnny not even Laswalls Wife who checked on Johnny the last Months and just wanted to see if Johnny needed help with the birth. But luckily Johnny did it, it was painful, he was scared, but he did it, he birthed two beautiful little seals with dark fur, and they father eyes. Johnny was exhausted but happy. His pups were perfect. And Ghost, he was in love, he was scared to go to the little babies, but once Johnny laid one of them in his arms he promised to kill everybody who dared to hurt his little pups. They were introduced to everybody the day after, Ghost was so proud of Johnny. And They lived the happily ever after.
Ghost hugged him closer, he wanted to never let go.
Johnny looked up at him with a small blush
"Come, Price told me about a cave we could live in"
Johnny said, looking away but taking his hand. He started swimming and pulling Ghost after him.
It took a little while, but they found the cave, it was big with a sand ground but also some kind of Layering to put things
"wow"
Johnny said looking around in amazement
"It's Perfect, we could sleep here"
Johnny pointed at a big space of sand,
" And I could put some shells there, oh and some there, It's big enough for or ..."
He blushed
"for what johnny?"
Ghost asked, knowing exactly what the seal wanted to say

"Anyway, how do you like it?"
"It is good, enough space both of us and more"
Ghost said with a smile, looking at the seal. Who started smiling too.
Johnny yearned
"Tired are you, my little seal?"
Johnny just shock his head.

Ghost chuckled, he swam to the ground and made a small "hole"
"come, get some sleep"
He said, patting the ground. Johnny came swimming at him, snuggling closer, Ghost cuddled around him. Johnny started to purr, Ghost answered with a rumble, and slowly both drifted off.
After that Ghost started courting the seal, properly, he gave him shells, made the nest, hunted for him, it was perfect, every little gesture made the seal react with a small slaps of his flippers, it was cute. They met the other Meres, König and his mate Horangi as well as the whale shark Alejandro and the back-winged manta ray Rodolfo, which say they are friends but neither Johnny nor Ghost really believes them, and there is Baikal seal Nicolai who ghost more than once saw talking, lathing with price, and is pretty sure there is something going on. It now has been months since everything with The shadow company, and they still get some visits from Gaz, who his Johnny's best friend by now, and Price. It's Perfect, and Ghost has plans to finally make it better by asking Johnny to be his mate.
It was getting dark, and he came back from hunting.
Arriving at their cave now decorated with a lot of shells and other decorative things and in the middle laid the little seal, sleeping.
"Johnny, wake up"
Ghost said softly, nogging the little seal
"hmm"
" Hey, I have something for you"
Ghost said, showing the food he caught for johnny, which just opened his mouth, still half asleep.
" Come on Johnny, I have something important to ask you and I need you to be fully with my okay ?"
That made the seal open his eyes now, the food now completely forgotten.
"What is it"
Johnny asked impatient
" John Maktavis, I wanted to ask you to be my ..."
"YES!"
Johnny interrupted him. Kissing him. Ghost kissed him back

"It's Simon, love, Simon Riley"

The days went slowly, Ghost was tired, not only of the sedative that he got so he wouldn't bite off the hand of every person that tried to give him something. Which they did, Ghost doesn't know what he gets injected, but sometimes it makes him black out and when he wakes up he feels sore. He really didn't want to think what they do to his Johnny, it made the anger towards the personal just more permanent. He was still planing on getting Johnny back, but he couldn't do much, which gave him the feeling that he some kind of failed.
It was night, or Ghost thought since there were no windows, and he lost any kind of time feeling, when there were shouts behind the door, it made ghost perk up prepared to strike. There was a light shining through the small windows of the door, it blinded ghost for a second then the door opened
"There you are big guy"
a familiar voice said, Price
"Price finally what's happening, where is Johnny ?"
"To all stations, I have Ghost get ready for Excel"
Price said into the small thing on his chest
"wait where is Johnny"
ghost asked again
"The seal is fine as are all the other animals, now out of here"
There was a big feeling of relive drowning Ghost, Johnny was safe, and they would be getting back together. Ghost was so relived, he just closed his eyes
"Good to have you back Simon"
Was the last thing he heard.
He woke up somewhere he didn't know, again. There was anger in him immediately before he remembered what happen last night, he was rescued, Johnny was rescued, Johnny was safe.
" You up, that's perfect "
a female voice said
" Laswell"
Ghost said
"Hey there big guy, how are you feeling ?"
"Good, where is Johnny, what happened, and where are we? "
" The seal is getting examined…"
"Why ? Is he okay ?"
Ghost interrupted her.
" He is important to you isn't he, he is fine physically, but the drug got tested on him as they did to you, and we are just making sure nothing had any lasting effect or anything "
Laswell explained
" To what happen, as you know Price and me were on a trip and on that trip we got told that the aquarium was given to the shadow company since there were reports on animal torture, which were fake, how ironic. Anyway me and price knew there was something fishy going on but as we wanted to confront them they threaded with a lawsuit, we couldn't do much, legally so we started planing to get you and every animal out, that happened last night, and now having evidence we could sue The company and everybody behind it, you are in an outdoor safety aquarium, we plant to get you all move here after our trip."
Laswell explain.
" I know it's a lot to take in"
"What happens now ?"
Ghost asked.
" We will let you into the outdoor, let's say pool, it is open ocean "
" so you are letting us go after all of your work"
Ghost asked.
" Bot really we shipped everybody, so you can swim, eat and live on your own, but we still can keep a watch on everybody "
" So no feeding hours anymore"
"he, no, you will start to hunt on your own again"
"hmm"
ghost didn't know how to feel about that
" Soap is finished and in the water you can bring ghost"
Price said, who just walked inside.
"Perfect, ready to see your seal again ?"
Ghost just shook his head quickly, which made the two humans chuckle. After getting pushed a while, he saw deep blue water.
" Okay slowly "
Price directed as ghost tank got lowered and the second he hit water he swam. Starting to look for Johnny. And he was found somewhere near a coral riff, still looking a little overwhelmed. Ghost couldn't hold back and crashed into the seal hugging him, nuzzling him, Soap did the same immediately. Putting their foreheads together
Ghost nearly screamed, he swam to the surface as fast as he could, he jumped out of the water, hitting the hard floor. There he was
"Johnny!"
he tried to push himself forward, but he was stopped by some personal, instantly trying to bite them and actually catching one, he bit down hard ripping off some flesh. He could taste the blood on his tongue, he could hear the loud scream that came from the person, it was agonizing. But Ghost ignored it, the only thing on his mind was to get to his Johnny. He was ready to bite off the legs that tried to stand in his way, but he couldn't, he felt something in his side, but everything was getting numb and blurry his vision started to go black

Fuck, where am I ? What happened ? Wait! Johnny !?
That was the moment Ghost was wide awake, he wasn't in his tank no he was in a moving tank, small with no decorations just a tank with water inside and now him. Where was Johnny, was he alright, how did they get him, he wasn't even gone for more than 10 minutes. All these question and one that needed to be answered directly : What the fuck is going on here?
"Here he is sir, a real riot"
a man said white hair, a scare on his cheek in bulletproof west with a sign on it that Ghost couldn't see clearly. Next to that man was an older one, bald and some kind of jacked with a lot of medals.
" So you are ghost, heard you made kite the drama when they took the seal mere out of the tank"
the older man said
"Where is he ?!"
Ghost said, no growled
"We think that he imprinted on the other mere, he got protective as we put the Kraken in the tank as well as we pulled the seal out"
the man with the gray hair said.
"That doesn't interface with our plans, does it, Commander?"
" No, general, it doesn't "
" Who are you and what did you do to Johnny"
Ghost growled again now hitting the glass.
"Hmm, alright inform me on the progress if anything happens I want to be informed "
"yes sir"
With that, the so-called General left, the commander just stood there looking at ghost.
" We will have fun, don't you think ?"
What kind of question was that, ghost thought, obviously we will not get along until I gut you and get Back to Johnny
with that the man left too, leaving Ghost alone in that tank, now even more thinking how he would kill the two men, or anybody who did or will try to keep Johnny away from him.

Soap thought, he started to panic, trying to focus on his surroundings but the thought of being alone, ghost no where in sight it made the seal sick to the stomach where is he, is he okay, I need him, where is my Mate!

Just for information people dont understand mers, normally Ghost would sighn, wich he learned from Price, but he was just too angry to think about that
for Price and Laswell, they would never separate two mates they know how aggressive the two can get"

"Who are Price and Laswell"
König asked
"They are the owners of this aquarium, but it has been strange since johnny dropped in here, and now you"
Ghost explained
"There were just a lot of humans in black when I got captured, I think I overheard them get called shadows"
König said
" No, that can't be right"
Soap through in
" What is it Johnny Ghost said now interested what his little seal has to say
"Me and my pod sometimes saw a ship of a Company called Shadow company, every time I saw them there were stories of animals going missing."
Soap explain
" You think that the shadows took those animals "
Ghost completed his thought
" That would explain why you and König got dropped into my tank, but it doesn't explain why Price, Laswell and Gaz are not here. But that is our smallest problem at the moment, it doesn't seem like we will get some food, we can't live on seaweed, explicitly not me or König"
Ghost explained
" What could we do "
Soap said with slight angst in his voice
" We will find a solution, first we find König a cave I think he would like a little time to be alone, no ?"
Ghost asked the Kraken
" That would be nice, thank you, Geist" On the nickname, Ghost looked confused but ignored
"And I get you to back to our cave"
Said Ghost to Soap
our? Soap thought, the word made him happy, so happy that his body did something he didn't think would happen, his flipper slaps his belly. It made soap blush and the other to mere look confused. Soap just started swimming ahead. The big meres right behind him. Back at the cave, soap snuggle him self in the sand.

Ghost POV:

I said to the Kraken

König told already exploring the cave with his tentacle

The happy thought of cuddling with johnny was completely gone as the seal was not in the cave anymore, Where is he ! Ghost thought swimming around, now looking up he caught a glimpse of a tail that left the water.
"Fuck, he shouldn't be up jet," "just get him in the water and leave." "If it was so easy, why don't you do it ?" " Because I don't want to touch that." "Pussy," "Boys, will you get this done already? We need that beast alive, so take the stick and punch him in" "JupJup" A loud plop came from the beast as it hit water. " Let's go" "Never again"
Soap POV:
" Did you hear that ?"
" That loud bang, I'm not deaf."
"No, not that, that splash"
"No"
There was a silence to see if the sound would come again
" You sure that there was a splash ?"
"Yes, let's look"
I wanted to protest, but Ghost was already on his way, and since he didn't want to stay alone while there was something happening.
"Wait for me "
God, he's fast. I tried to keep up with him as he suddenly stopped, and I nearly crashed into him. I swam around him.
"What ? "
I wanted to ask why he stopped, but in that moment I saw tenticals coming my way. I closed my eyes, waiting to get snatched, instead, I heard a loud groan. Ghost swam before me, taking the tentical and getting captured. A Male upper body showed up, which stared to chanche into red tenticals at the hip. It was a Kraken
It would make me smile that Johnny wanted to protect me if it wasn't such a dumb decision. The Kraken shot another of his tentacles to capture Johnny, which yelped and groaned in pain
" Don't you hurt him"
I growl, baring my teeth, trying to get out of his grip
" I will ask again, Who are you and where is my Mate !?"
" We don't know; he must have been dropped in another tank or something "
I say
"What do you mean by tank ?"
"We are in an aquarium"
I hear Johnny say
"Scheiße"
I hear the Kraken whisper. He lets go of us. I swim to Johnny to see if he got hurt and relaxed to find him untouched. I press Johnny behind me and facing the Kraken
"Now who are you ?"
I ask him, still baring my teeth
" I'm sorry, okay. My name is König. My mate Horangi and I got separed as we got captured. He is a Tiger shark; I overreacted I just wanted to see him again"
"It's okay, big fella"
Soap said, wiggling out of my grip
" I got dropped in here and was startled by this one, too."
He said this while pointing at me
" My name is Soap, and this scary fella is Ghost "
"Soap? That's not your given Name. How did your Mother call you? "
" John"
„Little Johnny“
"Well,"
Soap said now, looking away with a small blush.
„Ghost is not your given name!“
„No, but I do not tell my name to every Mere that comes across.“
"But!"
Soap wanted to protest.
„To the important question: Why are you here in my Tank, your not hurt, and even if you were, you should have been droped in a lone tank and not one with your natural enemy.“
„True, I dont feel hurt and I didnt have any Injuries Before.“
„Do you remeber why you got captured?“
„Not realy. I was just sunbathing a little away from my Pod and out of nowhere everything went balck, and wenn I first opend my eyes, I was here with your scary ass, bevor me.“
„That doesn't sound right. Price and Laswell always check, if an animal needs medical help or if it can survive on its own. Something is not right.“
„Who are Price and Laswell?“
„They are the humans that save the Anmals, including me.“
"Ohhh.."
Soap yarned
„Tired little Seal?“
Soap just nodded
" Can you blame me ?"
Ghost couldnt, infact he was surprised, that the Tiredness just now kiked in.
" Come "
Ghost said, the thought to let somebody else in his den was something, he alsways was sensitive about, but with Johnny, he didnt feel to scared? He actually liked the thought of having the little seal somwhere save.
" Where are we going ?"
„Into my den, Seals, need they sleep no?“
That made the Seal blush, wich made Ghost chuckel. They swam to his cave, where the ghost made a smal qule for the seal, bevor he tipping him in.
"thanks"
Soap said quietly with a yarn, bevor drifting off.
cute ghost thought, shock his head and went up to the surface of his tank. Looking out. Gaz should shown up. It's been a while since Ghost saw him last, and it would be good to have some food for Johnny. He nearly purrs, just by thinking about the little Seal, now sleeping in his Den. After giving up on Gaz' showing up, he looked for some seaweed. It would do. Back at his Den, he laid the Seaweed down, just to see Soap shaking and sneezing. Sneezing was normal for seels, but shaking. Ghost thought about what he should do and decided to do something he did not even think about, since his family died: cuddel. He slowly swam to the little seal and just easely wraped himself around the him, wich immediately pressed himself against him. It was comforting, so comforting, he didnt even notice, that he himself fell asleep.

Soap POV:
He oped his eyes, expecting to be alone, but instead he was cuddeld by something. No not something, someone it was Ghost, this shouldnt make him so happy but the orca mere was so warm and easly warped around him. He snuggled closer if that was even possible.
"Awake Johnny ?"
A deep Rumpel, wich went right through Soaps whole Body. The Orca was awake and lying in the smal „nest“, wich made Soap nearly whine.
"Here"
Ghost said while giving him Seaweed.
„Its all I could finde. Usually we get Fisch, but the Human, Gas, who usualy gives it to us, didn't come. Wich makes this situation just more suspicious "
"Thanks"
He says, taking the food and just inhaling it.
„Wow, chew your food, little Seal!“
Ghost said with a little chuckel in his voice
" sorry"
There where loud bangs, wich went through the whole Tank.

Ghost just looked outside his cave, hoping to hear voices and see Price or Laswell back from their trip. Instead of seeing them, he saw a gray tail with a male upper body sink down. He looked away to make sure he wasn't dreaming or if the boredom just made him hallucinate. Looking back out of his cave, he saw nothing, so he swam to the exit to look at the sandy ground of his aquarium. And there he was, a mere, unconscious on the ground. Ghost wondered why he was there. Did the personnel forget he was here? Did they think he needed company not wrong? He slowly swam out and down to the ground. There he lay, a seal mer. Ghost swam around him to look him over - no injuries, no signs of any kind of attack or anything, just a seal mer with a weird haircut. He swam closer to the mer, closer to his face. When he opened his eyes, they were sky blue beautiful. He blinked.
"AHHHH!"
Ghost flinched back and the seal mer swam away, or at least until the glass wall, which he swam into.
"Careful, you're going to hurt yourself,"
Ghost said as he saw how the seal held his head. The seal looked up with panic in his eyes and tried to swim away again. Ghost had enough. He swam after the seal, which was easy since he knew the aquarium with his eyes closed and the seal was slow. Ghost caught the seal's tail, which instinctively tried to wiggle out.
"Would you stop panicking? There is no way out of here,"
he said, which obviously didn't help because the seal just stared at him with more panic.
"Then finish it,"
the seal said and went still.
"Finish what?"
Ghost said, confused.
"You are an orca, right? You eat seals."
Now that explained the panic. The little seal thought he was going to eat him. Well, who could blame him? Ghost was big, and with his scars, he looked scary. Ghost laughed, but the seal just stared at him.
"Why are you laughing?"
"I'm not going to eat you, little seal."
"No?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"Do you want to be eaten?"
"No, of course not. Where are we, and who are you?"
"We're at an aquarium for injured animals. You can call me Ghost, and you?"
