I had a wonderful epiphany tonight that I recorded in my sacred place— the bathroom.

As I live my very Darcy in What Women Want or Jacquelin in Boomerang life, I have my moments.

And tonight I was having one of those moments.

Im a young black girl from the eastside of detroit in the UK on an all expense paid work trip, with a fun and nice team. Im here for a client who has been challenging for me, often giving feedback to my boss about interepersonal differences:

Im too assertive.

Im not "friendly" enough

Whatever tf else.

I told him that I needed a stronger "why". Faking it till you make it doesn't align with my spirit in this situation and I can only do it so much for the team.

I take in this feedback, knowing myself but also open to growing. It's been difficult as it seems that nothing that I do is good enough for the client.
