I’ve posted a few photos from this day before. It was a tumultuous period in her life: she had been fired from her new film project, Something’s Got to Give (but would be re-hired shortly before her death about two months later), was sued by her studio, had recently undergone surgery (again), and generally disappeared more and more into that black cloud of depression that always surrounded her. Still, she tried to make the best of it, and these photos at least show her in a relatively upbeat mood.
