Hi! It’s my first time modding, so we’re in the same boat. So, the point of the check-ins is to see how you’re doing, if you have any issues, and basically to see that you are making progress on whatever you’re doing. This is where the pinch-hitters come in: If you’re working with someone and it doesn’t work out, or you’re not feeling it, let us know and a pinch hitter can take over. For word count, it’d be really good if you could have about 2000 words by the check-in. Alternately, the first chapter of a multi-chapter work is all good. (Breaking it into parts and editing it into a bigger chunk post-check-in is also okay.) But we're pretty flexible on that, so if you have an issue with the deadlines, please give us a poke.

This is an initial sign-up, like an expression of interest. So don’t worry about summaries (most of that would be discussed on one of the server channels, which is why we run this over Discord.) I’m really sorry, Discord is pretty integral to this. I need to actually have a chat with the other mod about this and see how we can work it out (maybe cross-post some summaries on the tumblr.)

Hi! We thought we should let you know that we have tweaked the rules slightly.

1)     It’s now okay to advertise your work outside the designated servers, provided it is spoiler free. For example, in a Fey AU the revelation that Jaskier is one of the Fey is not a spoiler.

2)     If you do want to discuss your work elsewhere, please tell us! That way we can advertise it via the tumblr blog.

3)     We will be introducing check-ins for teams, as hinted in the timeline. This is because we don’t want people to be left in the lurch at the last minute.

4)     If you are having problems meeting deadlines, please tell us! We want you to enjoy yourself, not be punished for IRL problems.
