ofcgenesisâ:
her gaze lingers on genevieve a moment. despite being her âsister,â gen really didnât have a clue what the other did for a living. and sheâs almost certain genevieve didnât know what she did either. of course, it wasnât like gen actually made a living doing anything. âlighten up, it was a joke.â she remarks, rolling her eyes. she looks away from her, standing briefly to pour herself a cup of coffee. if she was going to sit through a conversation with gen, she at least needed to be caffeinated. and maybe have a few shots of whiskey too. she stifles a laugh. itâs bitter, nearing emotionless. âwhy not? daddy dearest pays for everything, last time i checked, hell doesnât look like a cozy mansion. somebody sounds ungrateful.â she taunts. of course, sheâs being flippant. she doesnât actually enjoy living at the academyâ but somethingâs made her stay all these years. even now, in her twenties.Â
this wasnât how family was supposed to live, genevieve knew that much. of course,no family was perfect but everything felt so twisted in these walls that she felt like she reverted back to her childhood self, not that there was much personal growth between then and now. here was the place where she was given a number instead of a name, forced to get a tattoo as she shook the whole damn house and where she was practically ignored even after her outbursts that cried for attention. grace had done the best that she could but she was a robot and there was only so much that she could understand and help with. in genevieveâs world, nothing was ever that simple... the blondeâs eyes narrow towards genesis as her face scrunches. a sensitive soul, genevieve never did quite learn how to handle people taunting her like this; they knew exactly how to push her buttons because it was far too easy. âungrateful? what am i supposed to be grateful for?â staring in the direction of the glasses, they begin to vibrate together very slightly. she was using her power as a sign for the other to stop prodding. no, the blonde hadnât been looking for trouble but it sure seemed to follow her around.
