she waits until the others are asleep,  tucked away in the pit of their dreams without a care in the world.     they likely feel secured now with their new muscle,  who they don’t realize is a part of parker’s past.     entering the room she knows zach is in,  she turns on the light and her heart nearly breaks at the sight of him.     immediately,  she steels her features,  refusing to let herself deem so weak.     each step she takes towards him is quiet,  light,  but she doesn’t mean to scare him.     she doesn’t want to wake the others.          ‘     zach?     is that really you?     ‘

eddy had ordered him to keep watch and that was exactly what he had done since the lights had gone out. the darkness did little to deter him, his organic eye was capable of seeing in the dark and the robotic one had thermal imaging that made keeping watch a simple matter.   he guarded the room, kept his eyes on the door and his senses strained to listen for any sign of someone attempting to break in through the back and only shifted when he heard someone from inside the basement begin to move.   she was quiet, not like the others, he might not have heard her at all if he hadn’t been paying such close attention as it was.   the sudden light caused the robotic eye to flare, almost blinding before it quickly adjusted.
