The Start of Something Deadly
"I guess we are. Well, it’s good to know you’re against the fuzz.. because it means I don’t have to kill you." He said. "Because such a thing would be a shame, really." He chuckled.
He tried to keep his stomach from rumbling at the delicious smells coming from the cafe, but to no avail.
"It seems like it." He observed, glancing around the room with an analyzing gaze.
The hedgehog chuckled nervously at the dark humor coming from the other. “It is a good thing I guess. I’d like to live a bit longer, you know?”
Once inside the restaurant, Sonic quickly went to grab a menu and handed it to Shadow. “Just find a seat and pick something from here. Once you’ve made your choice, I’ll run off and prepare it for you. I’m the best chef here, so it’s only right I cook it. After all, you did save my skin.” He gave a smile as he waited for the other to choose a table.
"Wouldn't we all?" He asked, only slightly amused. He didn't mention anything of his immortality, for he felt that it wasn't necessary information.
Shadow did not return the smile. "...I don't do such things every day. Saving others is the exact opposite of my job... I just like to think that I still have a shred of something.. decent in me.." he said, wondering why he blurted out such a thing to the other.
Taking the menu, he gave the blue hedgehog a slight nod, sitting down at the nearest vacant seat before looking the menu over. He had absolutely no idea what to order, so he settled for something random that seemed like it would taste god.
