     “Mm, I dunno. Probably wouldn’t a’ been a challenge anyway.” Not like those Android guys that hung around with Goku, those were an actual fun prospect of challenge. She would probably actually NEED to at least go Super Saiyan for that. She put her hands behind her head. “I just wanna fight strong guys, really. But I don’t mind helping out people in trouble too.”

“Heh, I dunno, Infinite was pretty tough- didn’t stop me and my buddy from takin’ him down, though.”

The laid-back attitude, the drive for action... this girl was sorta reminding Sonic of himself, honestly. They oughta get along just fine, then...!

Not wanting to waste anymore time, Shard was already activating his battle mode, the green glow being quickly replaced by red as his rockets activated.

“New tricks, uh? You’ll have to show me what you got then!” He might lose, but at least it’ll be fun, something he didn’t really have in awhile. Shredding Eggman’s junk might be fun, but a race without anyone’s life on the line was way better.

“Well then, better get ready...”

With that, Sonic scoops up a nearby rock from the ground- their starting signal. Giving it a good toss straight up, he takes a running stance with a grin. A race with ‘Metal Sonic,’ with no danger to lives... this had his blood pumping!

“Well, with so few even passable, at least you have something to be proud of.”
