Shortly after she left Sonic and his friends she found herself taking one last visit to metropolis. While looking at all the rubble that was once the center of Eggman’s empire she could have sworn she saw a person caught underneath a boulder. Immediately she dove in to save them and pull them out when she discovered who it was. It was Infinite.

Now she could have left him there. Leave him to either die or worse, but she didn’t. Instead she carried him out of Metropolis and all the way out to the middle of nowhere in a small shack that she used to use for shelter before joining the resistance. 

It has been a week since then. Days spent tending to his wounds and preparing food for two in hopes the Jackal would wake up soon only to be wasted at the end of the day.

And in response to that terrible laugh, Mugman gulped, quick to take a tiny step back. Thinking about it now, proposing to deal with the local madman by himself wasn’t the best of ideas. But now... well. It’s not like he could just twirl around and pirouette out of the place like it’s nothing!

R-Right...?

...damn right, Mugs.

“I-I can’t let you destroy my home!” the kid took a deep breathe, trying to sound as determined as he could. If his hand stopped shaking, that would’ve been just great...! “How-how about you run away, before I-” ...what would Cuphead say? “...I beat you up for good, huh?”

🐇 Lo and behold, to the dwarf rabbit’s surprise, he’d see a very familiar adversary. To be honest, Coo didn’t even notice the guy at first, still surveying the damage which had been done to Central City (yet again...).

Not going to stop?Very well. Then someone will have to stop him! Mugman and Cuphead were already considered the place’s heroes, so… might as well get down to business!The mug agreed to distract the big baddie, while the older brother took care of the civilians and any other possible problem in the Isle. For once, Mugman wanted to get in action!
