The laughter that so badly wants to escape past his lips gets
caught in his throat as he watches the coach. In this instance,
it’s more of a nervous tic than anything else. “Furuya,” he says
without hesitation, feeling his pulse quicken ever so slightly
under the weight of the man’s gaze. “If I had to guess, anyway.”
“You’ve guessed correctly.” He lets that hang in the air for a moment,
blinking once or twice, but otherwise watching his captain closely. He’s
had plenty of relationships within the team pop up during his reign as coach
-- Jun and Tetsu, two of his first years -- Toujo and Kanemaru, and he’d heard
Kuramochi finally pulled his head out of his ass with Ryousuke. That was simply
this year alone. However, the relationship between Furuya and Miyuki brought
on more of a problem. “Do you think it to be a wise decision, then?”
