Othello
Meh…Othello is okay. I’ve seen it, watched scenes from it and I’m not super impressed. This show has a lot of great monologues. I’m a big fan of Emilia’s “But I do think it is their husbands’ faults If wives do fall..” speech. Still a culturally relevant piece in today’s world. Reading this was even harder than watching it. This show just doesn’t grab my attention until the end when the famous scenes happen. Everything else…meh.
That is exactly how I feel. It was just ok. The last scene was a little exciting but I predicted what was going to happen already.

Othello Discussion
This play was ok. I just couldn't believe how much of an influence one person(Iago) can have on everyone. Iago manipulated everyone he came in contact with. Desdamona was crazy for staying with Othello after he kept insulting her. I really don't have anything else to say about the play because it did not interest me

Yes, we should have read this play at the beginning of the semester. It was so predictable. The thing I liked was Richard language, he could get anyone to believe him. Other than that I didn't like it.
Richard III
I did not like this play. It was probably the least interesting and entertaining play that we have read. I feel think Shakespeare could have written the same story as a much shorter version. There just seemed to be a lot of pointless jargon that could have been left out. With that being said, i don’t really even think i had a favorite character.
Yes, I totally agree. I did not like this play. It was boring. Everyone knew Richard was going to die. He was a great manipulator though.

This play was ok. I found the power of Richards language to be intriguing. He convinced so many characters to do what he wanted. I was so shocked that he convinced Lady Anne to marry him after he had her husband killed. This shows how easy it was to manipulate women and almost anyone during those times. I was sympathetic towards Clarence especially after he was murdered and King Edward mentioned all the great things Clarence did for him. If I had to choose a favorite character it would be Margaret. I liked her because she was the most honest character to me. She foreseen everything that would happen in the play.
I really enjoyed this reading. I see that Shakespeare is trying to give the audience another side of him besides talking about tragedies all the time. Portia and Nerissa made the story line by tricking her husband Bassanio and Antonio. The play also gives you a since of how a Jew and Christians...
Yes I loved this play. My favorite character was Portia because she had such a brave spirit. I found Shylock interesting although he had menacing ways you still knew once upon a time he was filled with love. Just how upset he got when he found out Jessica sold his ring from Leah. I thought it was clever how they mentioned Shylock was dead by brining Lorenzo and Jessica a letter saying they got Shylock money which could only be awarded to them once he was dead.Such a great play.
