About
Gema is a filmmaker and photographer. She is 18, and is going to be attending Santa Monica College in Fall of 2016. She is also a student at the Bay Area Video Coalition. Being a filmmaker has really opened her love to cinematography. She has made narratives and worked with other companies by collaborating and making short documentaries for them. Gema’s desire is to be making films for the benefit of creating an alternative view of such subjects. As a photographer she likes to develop her own film and make her own prints and she enjoys the challenges of film and digital photography. Her photos have been shown at SOMArts, Contemporary Jewish Museum, City Hall, Asian Art Museum, and Glass Key Photo. In her free time she likes to get away from her home and let herself be free.
