Loser core Carmy has my whole heart. People headcanon him as having good taste in music and good taste in general but i just don't think that's true at all except maybe with clothes. He likes clothes. But all the actually good stuff he's into in terms of music he picked up from Mikey and Richie (mostly nu metal and radiohead adjacent stuff) but when left to his own devices he really just doesn't care. Mikey might've raved about a sick guitar riff and Carmen would just be like yeah, that's so fire :) it's so sick :) love you, dude :) and now with Mikey gone and his mental health ruined by the industry and life in general you're gonna find this man absently nodding his head to closer by the chainsmokers and not minding the annoying beatdrop at all. my interpretation is that he was on the cusp of having good music taste probably with some influence from mikey and then all the stuff happened and he got too focused on his work and just kinda neglected his playlist so he has a bunch of old indie music kinda like when you find your old ipod and are like ohh this is what i was listening to? okayy. that's his vibe.
