“What? Oh. No, I heard you,” he reassured the other. “I’m just being wise and choosing to ignore what you just said,” he spoke with a forced smile. It probably wasn’t anything close to being wise, but it was better than having to listen to what the other way saying.

“Why are you tring to be such a wise ass?” the girl rolled her eyes and took a cigarette out off her jacket. “Whatever, if you’re going to be an dick about it, I’ll just ask someone else. It’s not like I ever ask you anything.” 

“you know… parties aren’t really my thing so- that’s why i left. but- why did you leave?” he asked as the two walked along the street. “oh, uhm- would you maybe like to go somewhere? like a diner or something? now that we don’t haven anything to do.”

        “Who’s there?” Oh god, could he be any more cliche? Apparently so, because as soon as the question leaves his mouth, the brunette takes another step forward, squinting into the darkness. It’s basically an invitation; his fear is written all over his face. No matter how tough he might usually try to act, it’s not something that’s coming easily right now. It’s bad enough that he’s alone, in the dark, in an unfamiliar part of the city. But now, now he feels like he should take off in the other direction before his luck runs out and he has to deal with something really bad.  “I have a gun.” Lies.

          The girl was only on her way home, noticing all the lights that had shut off in her part of the city. Frustrated enough she took a hit from her cigarette and tried her cellphone. No luck, it was dead. Looking up in the darkness she noticed another person, vaguely approaching her. “Hello?” The other talked too, asking who it was that was approaching. “Uhm—” A soft chuckle left her lips when the guy spoke about having a gun. She took another step forward letting them face each other. “Really? You don’t look like a guy that owns a gun. Should I be scared?”
