The way TERFs talk about trans women getting pap smears and checkups has reminded me that transphobes, both men and women, genuinely think the female reproductive system is magic. Like that there’s something inherently mystical about it just because research has been so restricted over history. In fact I’d argue that if women’s bodies, trans, cis, and intersex, were studied as much as men’s have been, it’d break down the idea of radical sexual dimorphism in humans to a point where we’d stop teaching binary sexes in middle schools entirely.
