The bat nodded it’s head, getting off the male’s shoulders and flying back to it’s owner. Of course, it made sure to make sure that the person he found was able to keep up with it. The small bat also didn’t want to die to have something happen to it, it’s seen how people.. and other animals have been acting. Why was everyone out to kill them?
The bat led him down an alley that seemed a little bit darker. It did look suspicious, but there was still no sense of danger. The bat squeaked and Bat had came out of his hiding spot, a small frown appearing on his face.
❛ You didn’t have to LEAD them to me. I just said see if you can find anyone else around. ❜
A sigh came from the vampire as the bat crawled up his shoulder and made itself comfortable, thinking it did a good job.
❛ If it threw you off track, my apologies. I only sent it out to scout the area to see if there was anyone. I don’t know why it’d bring someone with it.❜
It understood, and it moved fast. That was good and something a bit worrying; it could understand the urgency, and it could understand what he meant. That meant it was trained. The speed was measured; he was sure it could go faster, as shown by how easily it had caught up with him before, yet here it was, keeping a pace he could follow.
He was incredibly wary of the little bat now, but didn’t want to risk turning around and leaving. He didn’t know the situation, but better avoid making it angry.
The alley was darker than the others, shadowed by the buildings and overhangs-- a decent hideout, but it wouldn’t last long. No, if the people that inhabited the place were smart, they’d start smoking people out from the inner hiding places. Still, it was very decent for what it had been.
Then someone stepped out from a hiding spot and Gareki paused. Definitely trained, as the person was addressing the bat without hesitation. It was also acting familiar; likely treated well then. Hell, sending something such as a bat to scout was a good move; Gareki was impressed, if a little miffed at the bat being so trustworthy with people. What if he had been a threat?
“Maybe it thought you needed the help.”
Considering how the little bat was behaving, it was likely. Or it just cared enough for its owner to want them to have the best possible chance. Either way, Gareki was interested in the little bat still. Being able to scout, and the hearing would be an advantage, especially if there was to be supplies gathered...
Looking about the alleyway, Gareki couldn’t see any sign of any sort of supplies. What, did this guy expect to wait till night to get stuff? They’d be on guard then if they were smart; night was the best time to strike, and since this place was a shopping district, from the peeks he stole when he could, the people residing here would know to be wary. Unless, of course, there was some bullshit about the other not needing supplies.
