The deceased’s demeanor changed, confusing replacing his annoyance. If he’d had an objection to the foolish pet name, it was forgotten. He spoke hesitantly, as if unsure Gant could hear him or if the fool was merely rambling to himself,

Gant smiled even more as his hand moved to the back of his head and acratched it softly. Before he observed manfred once again, his smile and eyes softening gently as he shifted his hand to his front, as if trying to reach out to Manfred, despite being unable too, completely.
