Mary Kate: 😂😂😂 wow you really are delusional, huh? Your 'preferences' are walking a really fine line with magical supremacism but sure, I'm the problem.

Maddy: It makes perfect sense. Mal's there and I refuse to be.

Mary Kate: I mean... Sure? I guess it's nice to be able to do magic out in the open at home and stuff but the way you talk about it just is kind of gross. I mean, you're lecturing me about manners when you highkey talk in a way that makes you sound like you would have been a prime pick to be recruited to the Death Eaters if you'd been born like, 20 years ago. If you're going to be nasty about Muggles and Muggle borns, the least you could do is like... keep it to yourself and to other people who are bigoted arseholes and not try to force more woke people than you to talk about it? There's more to life - and more to a person's 'breeding' - than magic.

Mary Kate: I think protecting your toes is plenty useful! Are all of the Knights wizards? I figured there was a mix of both magic and Muggle people on there, but I guess it all being hidden and magical makes sense, too.

Mary Kate: I don't know, because there's more to a person than like, how they come across when you write a bunch of facts down about them? And saying 'of good breeding' makes it sound like you're talking about dogs and is pretty gross, so jot that down.

Gani: Well, all the knights listen to Arthur and they all know Merlin so it's a highly magical population. We've had a few half-bloods join the ranks as of late but I'm proud to boast that Camelot is a magical capital.

Maddy: No. I'm not a Slytherin.

Mary Kate: I don't know, have you ever had one of your toenails fall off? That HURTS lol. Lol what traditions do you have, then?

Mary Kate: You'd want to be like... sold off to whoever could win some competition? Instead of picking who you want to be with for yourself?

Gani: Just because something hurts when it's removed doesn't mean it was useful. And Camelot is chock full of old-school traditions, right down to the Knights of the Round Table, the parties we have to celebrate when they all come home, and more. I guess I'm not surprised that it's hard to find a place that celebrates magic more than we do. Camelot is very traditional, after all.

Mary Kate: Yeah, we don't really... have celebrations of magic? I mean, we participate in Wizarding holidays and stuff, but celebrating magic feels like... celebrating having toenails or something. It's just a part of us?

Mary Kate: And God, no. I'm not a prize to be won; things were different then. My mum was basically a prisoner and she and dad were already in love, he was sneaking into the competition because otherwise he never got to see her.

Gani: An interesting point of view. Magic is infinitely more useful than toenails though, it would be more like celebrating being alive, which people do, don't they? With birthdays and the like. At least you participate in Wizarding holidays, I guess.

Maddy: So how about just not going? Is not going an option?

Mary Kate: Sorry, come again now?

Mary Kate: The only family tradition I can think of is the annual archery contest commemorating when dad won mum's hand in a competition, but somehow I don't think that's what you're asking for...

They didn’t design it with that specific reason! I just think it’s more fun than my homework, but lots of things could be! Talking to my friends, helping Madam Pomfrey change bandages – you seem like you might play Gobstones or Exploding Snap instead or something! If you don’t want to do your homework enough you just find a way to not do it, it’s not Pokemon’s fault! And no, I don’t like those games enough – I play them with my friends who want to, but I don’t need to practice and beat people who care about it more than I do. I think that just makes me extra sure I should give Pokemon to Lina, but I appreciate it! Thanks for trying, Gani, you’re great!

Then why ask for people to keep the game from you if you could just as easily be distracted by things that aren’t the game? Either you want to do your homework or you don’t, and if you don’t, you’ll just find a way not to do it, apparently; I could always ask around about brewing a concentration potion for you, if that would help instead. I mean, if the issue is focusing on your homework then there are ways to do that too, of course. And you’re welcome, any time!
