  "God, you already sound like Max." Had he not been terrified of his hallucination, he would have insulted Max in a heartbeat. Would this new ‘hallucination’ be the same?

"And who is Max?" Lera asked. This boy was probably more trouble than he was worth but it'd be interesting to see how far he could push him.
