I'm so upset

I'm still pretty upset about this actually

It's amazing how drastically things can change when you fall in love with the right person, how wonderfully it can upend you into being a better person and become the person your partner sees in you

This post makes me crazy too. This whole relationship made me realize how actually necessary it is for me to be in a relationship bc I do not feel alive otherwise. Unironically my mental health improves drastically. Life loses much of its lustre when you aren't in a good relationship. Even when it was kinda shitty and I was having my doubts, life felt more open in some ways. I definitely feel much different than before, and I've got much more confidence, but life will be so much better with someone by my side again.

Yearning, right, yearning is good, yearning is great: yearning for a time and then finally having those feelings reciprocated, what a whirlwind, sure—but there is something so delightful and comforting about coming to the realization that you like someone, feeling that uncertainty about even having those emotions, and then suddenly finding out that actually, shockingly, in the best turn of events of your life, you find out within the next three days that they like you, too. It's so wild (as in crazy) and so freeing to not have to go through the rigamarole of "do they like me" and the stress involved in trying to not make it blatantly obvious too soon, when they themselves ended up hinting at it in their actions, and then making it very obvious with their actions and behavior later on. And in fact, I so much rather prefer it, because of that fact that it's so refreshing. And I feel like, as an adult, it feels like a very adult way for things to go: no childishness in hiding feelings, no need to analyze the other person to see if you have a chance...just straightforward, immediate discovery.

Are these cracks that I'm perceiving real or are they just the result of an overactive imagination
