⚔Skaven V Brettonia⚔

From the depths our vile skaven emerge👌

We played a kind of custom mission with 1 objective in the centre, victory to whoever held it at the end of the game🙉

So first turns where very conservative from both forces trying to stay out of line of sight and preserve units for later turns.

But in the end it came down to the final turn and just when it looked like the scions were going to take the win the damn necron warriors reanimations kicked in and ended up out numbering the scions😱

Win to the Necrons 💪

Brettonia started by praying to the lady, so the Skaven took the first turn with the clanrats moving forward and the weapon team following close behind, with there shot scattering wide of the peasant bowmen there turn was over. The Knights of the realm made there charge into the rat ogres whilst the arrows of the bowmen failed to hurt the clanrats. At the end of the combat 1 rat ogre was dead and 1 had 1 wound left in exchange for 3 dead knights the skaven then failed there test and fled.

The following turn the ogres and engineer fled off the table and the clanrants continued foward with there weapons team wich missed again.

In response the Knights of the realm wheeled to face the clanrats and wt and the paladin left the bowmen to march towards the clanrats again the bowmens arrows did nothing.

Next turn the clanrats charged the paladin and the wt positioned itself at there rear to prevent a charge and fire on the knights and miss again!The Paladin slew 3 clanrats in return for no damage but still lost the combat but he stood firm.

The peasants manuvered to line up a flank charge in future turns whilst the knights charged and killled the wt and the paladin again lost combat without taking damage but this time fled and technicly was caught by the clanrats but he was able to pass the bowmen where as the clanrats crashed straight into them! (was that right?)

Next turn the clanrats and bowmen killed 2 a peice but the rank and standard won them the combat and they ran down the peasants as they fled, the knights of the realm failed there charge and the paladin ralied and charged the clanrats (still not sure if this was allowed) and actualy broke them and ran them down.

So I have to read up some rules for next time but on this day its finished a victory to the noble brettonians and the lady

Necrons V Beil Tan

On this ancient Maiden world lies a chamber once hidden deep within a mountain now exsposed to the elements after many thousands of years.

In this sacred chamber a relic of the past sits waiting to be claimed an ancient key of sorts 1 of 3 taken from a conquered foe and scattered through out the galaxy.

Now the endless legions march foward intent on claiming there relics and the power they will togethor unlock.

The Farseer had had visions of this moment, and positioned his swordwind host around the ruined chamber ready to repel there ancient foe.

The visions had been interpreted exactly and the Swordwind was ready to ambush there foe as soon as they materialised on the planet surface.

The Farseer had his wave serpant take up position inside the ruined chamber laying fire down the chasm entrance felling several of the enemy most of which appered to simply get back up! The rest of the swordwind took cover around the outside of the chamber in anticipation of the necron counter.

The Necron Overlord ordered his warriors forward towards the casm of the chamber and the doomstalker to get los on the Aeldari transport, the chamber lit up with gauss fire damageing the wave serpant!

But the Aeldari held firm and returned fire blasting shards of ancient metal from the doomstalker and again downing a warrior.

The Necrons warriors continued foward now inside the chamber gauss fire lighting up the wave serpant again wich was now smoking, meanwhile the scarabs reached the perimeter of what was left of the mountain.

The Overlord ordered his first squad of warriors to charge the aeldari transport there fists bounced harmlessly of the serpant sheild but they was now in the middle of the chamber.

The chamber was filled with the sound of howling dread as the banshees lept from there transport and cut apart 5 warriors effortlessly with no damage taken in return.

Recognising the need to preserve his forces and that the warriors didnt understand such concepts the Overlord withdrew his warriors from combat so that the second squad of warrios could disintergrate them.

The doomstalkers shots went wide of the serpant causing more of the ruin to crumble however the Overlords aim was true and almost nocked it out of the sky shaking but still hovering some how.

The scarabs proceeded to swarm the Aeldari transport, they must of eaten through a critical repulsion circuit because the transport shot off and crashed into the moutainside and the lone farseer appeared on the ground below where the transport had been hovering.

Outnumbered and alone the Farseer couldnt hold the chamber for long but there was still hope, the farseer raised his hand towards the scarabs and began to glow with psyhic energy until another body appeared to jump out of him a body of raw psyhic energy weilding a staff proceeded to dance around the scarabs slicing and thrusting until half had been disected and then just blew away in the breeze. As the figure dissapeared a singing spear struck 2 more scarabs and returned to the farseer as he looked around he realised he had not done enough, a Necron Overlord and his retinue of warriors stood blocking his escape out of the chamber.

Will the Necrons claim there lost relic? will the Farseer survive? Who knows......Only time will tell.

So game wise it was a draw 4-4 (2 Pts for holding the objective) but narratively the necrons hold the chamber! So ime thinking the next mission will be a rescue mission🤔
