Monster Hunter World 100+ Hours Impression
It’s been a while since I wrote a something and the last time I’m fully active in this blog was 2-3 years ago. Time flies, and apparently I’m buying a new PS4 Console for the Long Awaiting Game, “Monster Hunter World”
I’m fan of the series since 2004 when it was first introduced in Playstation 2.
I have to say, MONSTER HUNTER WORLD is the biggest achievement that Capcom can deliver to Monster Hunter Fans around the world.
I also notice 10 Things that makes Monster Hunter World more appealing for both Veteran Hunters and Newcomer that just picked up this series:
1. The Setting is amazing and very detailed,
After switching from 3DS from Monster Hunter 4 Generation, the difference in graphic is like night and day. Monster Hunter finally get a Royale treatment with HD 1080.
Turn On that HDR and Enjoy your cutscene like never before. (I’m SERIOUS)
2. Monster Hunter World gives more freedom to character creation & your fluffy companion as well.
I have to say this customization creates more attachment for the players and it gives more “Personal Touch” to each and every Player. I mean, We have to look good while slaying the monsters right??
3. PAINTBALLS?? The new world is using much more efficient tracking system.
Introducing SCOUTFLIES, a new tracking system that’s viable in the beginning of the game. With scoutflies it add more flavor that you’re actually HUNTING the monster. It will help you to investigate monster tracks, mucus, scales, and other remnants. By doing that the scoutflies will remember the monster characteristic and ultimately it’ll lead you to the monster location.
4. Pickaxes? Bugnets? Gathering? We got you covered.
In the new world, every hunters equipped with resources that makes gathering less daunting than previous series.
In the new world, you actually can:
Gather while Running/Walking
Have unlimited supplies of pickaxes
Have unlimited supplies for fishing bait
Have unlimited Whetstone (Wooo-Hooo!!!)
Have an access to CAPTURE NET to capture endemic creatures in the local area for your pets.
The Gathering system is way more simpler and I feel it’s more therapeutic this way, personally it makes the progress more relaxing and less daunting.
5. LAW OF THE JUNGLE
Ever heard of “The Strong will eliminate weaker foes”? This actually happened in the new world. Monsters are very territorial and they have their own nemesis. If they happen to venture in the same area. You’re in for a treat, since you can actually see a wonderful combat animation from their TURF WAR.
6. HUNTERS ASSEMBLE!!!!
Usually in the previous series, online hub can only contains 4 peoples in the room but this time, the new world hub can contain more than 4 peoples (16 to be exact).
Other than that you can create/join a SQUAD to make your hunting process easier. SQUAD acts like a Guild that can help you to ease the matchmaking process and it contains trusty team-mates to help you out during your urgent mission
7. Blademaster? Gunner? NO MORE SEGREGATION
Remember when Blade-master and Gunner used to have 2 different armor types.
NOT ANYMORE
In the new world, we can create 1 armor for both melee & ranged play style, they have more variants in the late game for you to mix and match with your heart content.
8. Forgot to eat your Canteen Meal? NO WORRIES
They set ups a portable kitchen in every encampment to nourish all the active hunters and yes, you can eat again even after a certain amount of time.
9. Wish you can restock and change Gears? In the new world it’s possible
Ever had a situation where u wish you can still have 1 more Max Potion? or 1 more shock trap? In the new world we an access our item box in the encampment. So, we can restock our supplies with ease and change our equipment as well. It’s never been easier like this in the previous series.
10. No More Negative Modifier!!!!
They streamlined and make the armor mod less complicated. This helps the veteran and the newcomer to craft any armor that they liked without have to think about the consequences.
I personally played this game for more than 100+ Hours and it still have tons and tons of replay-ability value.
It’s worth it and I definitely recommend this to all of you.
Final Verdict: 9.5/10
