The awesome KC Green shifted SB&HJ gears and perfectly put together [A6I2] ==> (Penis Ouija) for our 2015 Homestuck Calendar! 

It was one I didn't have much to say on in my original theorizing [X] but the new lore makes room for some fun speculation.

As stated before, a relation to fire sets them up as perfect foils to the seadwellers. The "born leader" theory could still hold up here and explain the source of their conflict. (tldr the other post: the structure of the hemospectrum put limes in a position of leadership over the lowest third that isn't curtailed by midblood superiors, as their priorities are elseware. The position affords limebloods legitimate rule, in tandem with a target on their backs from the highblood empire).

That being said. Here are my new theory proposals:

We now know their skills were valuable in caves, likely placing them close to jade bloods and the brooding cavern. Which I would use to propose a second foil and a theory I've sat on for a while.

All male limebloods theory: Just as the jades are an all female cast, the limes are all male. I like the way it balances the species, and there's some fun biospeculation that can be made. What if they're the same cast that's been dimorphically split to serve some evolutionary purpose? how do olives work into that?

Wait. Why are they mining coal when they have access to a psionic powered grid? One of these guys alone can push a massive ship at nearly light speed. How does that, spread across a whole workforce, not equal an output that doesn't necessitate coal power? Is it a steampunk thing? Are the beforan ancestors steampunk??

Anyways, other theories.

Green sun worshipers: The connection is easy to make. Green... flaming... I haven't extrapolated much beyond, maybe a prophetic doomsday cult or something. You'd think I'd put more thought into this one than the silly one-off joke theory, but remember what comic we're talking about here.

The Guy Fieri thing: C'mon man he's already woven into the story. Might as well build a whole culture of pyrokenetics wearing silly fire themed clothing. And you know what? Give em the frosted tips too.

Hiveswap originally began life in 3D, funding going to The Odd Gentlemen, a game development studio, to begin work on the game.

But due to developer disputes from funding ending up misplaced, What Pumpkin Studios NYC took over control of the game.

But WPSNYC later shut down, leading to What Pumpkin Games to develop Hiveswap. But by December of 2015, development had shifted to be 2D rather than 3D leading to the Hiveswap we know now.

Emmoniromantic (emmoni-romantic) is a term on the aromantic spectrum that describes individuals who confuse their intense fixation on someone with romantic feelings but after this fixation fades away, they realize they weren't truly in love. Some individuals may choose to call it 'obsession' or 'limerence'. It can be used as a tertiary identity or romantic orientation on its own or alongside with flutter attraction and/or pseudoromantic.

Emmoniaromantic (emmoni-Aromantic) is a similar term for those who don't experience any other kind of 'romantic' attraction.

This term is exclusive to neurodivergent individuals who can develop a hyperfixation on someone or great passion for their 'X person' (attachment figure; can be referred to as 'favorite person', 'safe person', 'chosen person', etc.). It can be used by those who are formally diagnosed, self-diagnosed or questioning but not transabled people and the like.
